Attendance Matters
Please complete our short survey
Parents, did you know that if students miss as little as 10% of the school year, they are at risk for academic failure? TRHS Counselors are collecting data to determine how to best support our students’ attendance and success.
Your input is incredibly important to this process, so we’re asking parents to complete a short survey here. We appreciate your feedback and partnership!

Mindful Minute: Managing Anxiety
Anxiety is a normal part of life and can sometimes be beneficial, in that it prepares us to take on challenging tasks. Anxiety becomes concerning when we begin to avoid everyday life tasks. Many of our students struggle with anxiety and are in need of effective coping skills. Mindfulness reduces anxiety by keeping you present and aware of thoughts without judgment. This helps break the cycle of worry, calms the nervous system, and promotes a sense of control and peace. One simple way to practice mindfulness is to focus on your breath. Take three deep breaths and observe your thoughts without judgment; ask yourself: “what can I learn from what I am thinking and feeling?” When we steady our breath, we calm our minds, and therefore our actions.
