Happy Saturday Eagles!

Thank you to all of our students, staff, and parents for an awesome, "short" week. The students were involved in hands-on learning throughout the school every day. I observed discussions about both fiction and non-fiction texts, students creating and using graphic organizers, one-on-one student/teacher conferencing, and students using the CUBES strategy to solve math word problems. It makes me smile to see students enjoying learning!

Our new STEM Lab is complete! Mr. Sanfilippo introduced our new Robotics program to students in grade 5 this week, and he will be introducing it to grade 4 in the upcoming week. Teachers in grades K-3 are able to check out the Robotics Mouse Coding Cart and use it in the STEM lab or classroom. Teachers are able to sign up for their classes to use the STEM Lab. Thank you to Mr. Sanfilippo for his hard work organizing the lab and putting together STEM notebooks for classroom teachers.

On Friday, Dr. Patterson and Mr. Ron were duct taped to the wall by students who sold five or more pizza kits during our Little Caesars fundraiser. We enjoyed the laughter. The students had tons of fun! Check out the pictures below.

Box Tops

Thank you to all who donated Box Tops! We just mailed out our box for November. Please continue to collect Box Tops and turn them in by April. Box Tops provide extra funding for our school.

Make-up Days

We have one additional make-up day due to time missed during Hurricane Dorian. Students will also attend school on Friday, January 3, 2020, which was a teacher workday and is now a student day. Please make adjustments to your calendars.

We review our behavior expectations with students regularly so they can show school pride at CEES and earn Class DoJo points. Students must earn 100 Class DoJo points during the month to participate in the schoolwide PBIS celebrations. Please review our CEES acronym with students at home to help support our program:
