April 4th

It's CMAS time!

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th-graders will be starting the Colorado Measures of Academic Success on Monday! We are excited to encourage our students to do their best work because they have worked so hard this year! In preparation for the test, please make sure that your student is well rested on Sunday night. Research from Harvard University has shown that a good night's sleep makes it easier to cope with test taking stress and anxiety, and that over time, good sleep habits consolidate memory and improve academic performance. The American Academy of Pediatricians recommends elementary aged students get between 10-11 hours of sleep each night! That means an 8:30 PM bed time (or earlier!) if you get up at 6:30 AM! Enjoy your weekend!

"Whether you walk, bike, roll or drive, it’s important you can get to your destination safely. Drop by the Broomfield Transportation Safety Action Plan (BTSAP) open house on Monday, April 21 anytime between 5 and 8 p.m. at the Broomfield Community Center to give your input on draft recommendations for improving safety throughout Broomfield’s transportation network. The draft recommendations are based on community ideas and feedback as well as traffic data analysis. A virtual open house, found on Broomfield Voice, will kick off on April 21 and run through May 7 providing an online, asynchronous option for the community to provide their input. KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION

Dear Birch Elementary Parents & Students & Community Members:

We are excited to invite you to attend our 35th Annual JAM (Just After Midnight-After Prom Party) Community Walk-Through on April 26th, 2025 from 7:00–9:00 PM at Broomfield High School.

It will be an evening filled with magic and wonder—an experience you won't soon forget!

And the best part? It’s FREE!

Come see firsthand the excitement and mystery of JAM and get a glimpse of what your child will experience when they attend Broomfield High School.

This incredible event is 100% parent-driven, and we would love for you to come and see why it’s so important for all of us to keep this tradition alive.
