2025 March Edition
Message from Principal Rowell
Here we are mid March and excited that we have been able to enjoy some great weather. As we look forward to these nice spring days, we are reminded that this is also the time of the school year when it feels like things start to speed us, as topics of assessment and graduation become our reality.
Next week brings us to the end of quarter 3 and we encourage students to continue to do their best and reach out to teachers as they need support or additional assistance.
We are into the swing of Assessment season, with the Pre-ACT and FORWARD exams remaining. At the middle school we will also have a Spring MAPS testing. Many reminders are sent to student and parent emails to keep you informed about important information related to the upcoming assessments. Please continue to check your emails frequently.
This newsletter includes many celebrations and opportunities where our students have shown tremendous Blue Bomber Pride in areas of academic achievement, athletics and extra curricular activities. Enjoy these celebrations!
As always, please reach out if we can be of assistance. We are here to support and help.
Regards,
Natasha Rowell, Principal

Sophomores will take the Social Studies test during their class period on April 14 and 15.

HONOR ROLL
Congratulations to all students who made the Honor Roll at the end of Semester 1. Keep up the good work. You should be very proud of your accomplishments! Students were given a certificate last week during their Advisory class.
As a reminder, Honor Roll is based on the first semester GPA and is not a cumulative GPA.
NATIONAL SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER DAY
February 15, 2025, marked National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day. We are grateful for Officer Katie for all she does to partner with our staff and for keeping our schools safe.
Officer Katie is special in many ways and if you did not know she has been a favorite lunch buddy to our elementary students. They look forward to trading their Bomber Bucks to enjoy lunch with her, enjoy belly laughs, sit in her squad and turn on the lights and sirens. They have even told her that she is “expensive.” Indeed, it costs a lot of Bomber Bucks to have Lunch with Officer Katie.
THANK YOU Officer Katie. We appreciate you!

Winter Ends, Spring Races In
The winter season has finally ended, and the spring season has quickly raced in. While many of us were hoping winter sports would last a little longer, we had a lot of memorable events this season in all of our winter sports. The girls basketball team hosted and won their first playoff game in a very long time. The boys basketball team had a lot of memorable finishes including one at Fiserv Forum. While the ending of both of these seasons was earlier than we wanted, the memories that were formed this year will last a lifetime. Thank you to all of the seniors who played their last high school basketball game this season. Thank you for all the memories you gave to us. We look forward to seeing many of you compete this spring!
Girls Basketball
The girls basketball team finished their season 16-9 and lost against Manitowoc Lutheran in the regional semi-final game.
Thank you to senior Addy Tershner for all of her hard work the last four years! Congratulations to Gwenn Elliott for being named 2nd team all conference, and congratulations to Claire Brotz for being named Honorable Mention all conference.
Boys Basketball
The boys basketball team finished 21-4, and were the conference champions for the third straight year in a row! They lost to Cedar Grove Belgium in a tough regional semi-final game.
Thank you to seniors Harry Heidt, Bennett Cornwell, Max Breitenbach, Brody Duchow, Zane Willadsen, and Wilson Gebler for all of their hard work and effort over the last four years! Congratulations to Max Breitenbach for being named 1st team all conference, and congratulations to Brody Duchow for being named 2nd team all conference.
WIAA Girls Tennis Sportsmanship Award
Congratulations to the girls tennis team who won the WIAA girls tennis sportsmanship award! This award is given to teams who demonstrate the highest level of sportsmanship.
Great job to the team for being leaders in high school sports and for showing great sportsmanship regardless of winning or losing!
Join the Sheboygan Falls/Kohler Co-Op Softball Team
If you are interested in playing softball this year, or have any questions about the sport please email Coach Bailey at sbailey@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us. All skill levels are welcome to join! Below is a message from Coach Bailey.
Do you want to have fun and learn a new game? Come join the Sheboygan Falls softball team!
Hi, I’m Sam Bailey, the new Sheboygan Falls softball coach. I’ve played softball my whole life and pitched in college, breaking multiple records along the way. Throughout my time on the field, I’ve also ran pitching lessons, coached players of all ages, and attended multiple Division 1 college softball camps picking up skills and coaching techniques. All this has led me to coaching the athletes this year at Sheboygan Falls.
This season, we are learning a lot and working to build a successful program by getting a little better every day. The players are improving quickly and are starting to learn how to make some pretty awesome plays in the game. I asked them at practice the other day what people should know about the experience of being a part of this team and they said, ‘We laugh a lot.’ I’m so excited for this season and know we are going to have a lot of fun while also creating a future for kids growing up who wish to join an outstanding program some day.
The only problem? We’re low on athletes. If you have any interest in learning the game for the first time or jumping back into a sport you may have played growing up, you have a spot on this team waiting for you! We’re 100% inclusive to all athletes eligible to join a female sport, even if you’ve never played. The current team is awesome and works every day to support each other.
If you’ve never played a sport before and are wondering why I want you to come join us, that’s simple. I love this game and I love creating a community where people can come together, learn skills (softball mechanics, communication, thinking on your feet, information retention, studying situations in real time), and most importantly: Have fun while doing it. I can’t begin to describe the life skills I’ve learned throughout my time being an athlete. In my everyday life, I’m incredibly grateful for all the lessons I learned on the field. I hope I can also pass some of those on to you.
Right now, we are right at the beginning of the games section of the season. We will play about 10 games this season between now and mid-May and practice every weekday. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays we practice from 3:30-6:00 and on Wednesdays we practice from around 4:00-6:30. That being said, if you are interested in joining and can’t make all those practices or times, please still reach out! We would love to have you and are more than willing to accommodate players in any way we can. We are all about learning and growing this year, and that includes flexibility!
If you are interested (or just have questions!), please email me at sbailey@sheboyganfalls.k12.wi.us. I hope to meet some of you soon!
Science Olympiad
Congratulations to the middle and high school Science Olympiad teams for making it to state! They will travel to UW-Stout in April to compete. Best of luck Blue Bombers!
DECA
Congratulations to Avery Baxter, Ella Loest, Delaney Drevline, Ajyosta Subedi, Charlotte Bullard and Melanie Pellagrino. These students competed in a 3 day State DECA competition in the categories of Marketing Management, Business Services, Quick Service Restaurant Management, and Travel and Tourism. They competed against the best of the best in business simulations and demonstrated their outstanding leadership skills. In only its second year at Kohler High School, DECA is an organization that prepares emerging leaders for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management through community engagement and business studies. Congratulations Blue Bombers!

High School Counselor
It’s hard to believe that it is already March! It’s a month of staying busy, March Madness, and Spring Break - full of lots of excitement!
Parents of Seniors: Your child’s midyear transcripts have been submitted to all of the schools they have applied to. The next step for them is to start making decisions about where they would like to attend and accepting or declining their offers.

Parents of Juniors: There will be a College 101 Presentation the evening of Wednesday, April 30. Mark your calendars. More details to follow in the coming weeks. We will go over all things junior/senior future planning.
