Candy Drive
Norton Middle School will be holding a candy drive starting on Wednesday, October 16th and ending on Friday, October 25th. This year we will be calculating the amount of candy brought in based on weight and not number of pieces. We will only be accepting candy in its original packaging and not individual candy that is left over from a parade or other event. This candy drive is being held to support Spooktacular which is being held on October 29th at the High School for elementary students and their families. Attached is a flyer for the candy drive.
Feed My Starving Children
Students at Norton Middle School will be participating in a community service project with Grace Church and Feed My Starving Children, an organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals to children in need around the world. This hands-on opportunity will allow students to make a meaningful impact by packing meals that are distributed to malnourished children in developing countries. Families interested in volunteering outside of the school day can learn more and sign up to help at this link. Questions regarding this event can be directed to sfriddle@graceohio.org.
PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) Incentive
Students who earned points by demonstrating The Panther Way will have the opportunity to to walk to the High School Stadium to celebrate with games and activities on 10/17 or 10/18. Students earn points by filling out a weekly, self-assessment each Friday during Learning Labs, as well as additional points added by NMS Staff.
If your student has an appointment and needs to be picked up from school during the time they would be at the High School, please make arrangements with the middle school main office before that time, so we can ensure we have your student ready.
