Leadership Update
Jaime Lee, Executive Director of Learning and Leadership
The Yakima School District is pleased to announce that Jaime Lee, a seasoned educator committed to fostering effective instructional practices and cultivating a positive, equitable culture within schools, is taking on a new leadership role within the Yakima School District’s Teaching and Learning department. Mrs. Lee holds a K-8 Elementary Education degree from Whitworth College and a Master of Science in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. Her extensive career spans multiple grade levels, with teaching experience in both the Wapato and Yakima School Districts. She served as an instructional facilitator at Gilbert Elementary and completed her administrative internship.
As Principal of McClure Elementary School, Mrs. Lee spearheaded initiatives to create an equitable and inclusive learning environment, driving collaboration among stakeholders and nurturing a culture focused on the growth and achievement of all learners. Her leadership extended beyond McClure Elementary, having served as Assistant Principal at both McClure and Whitney Elementary Schools.
Jaime’s dedication to continuous improvement is underscored by her certifications, including National Board Certification in Literacy, a WA state Instructional Framework (Danielson) Specialist, and certification as a trainer in Guided Language Acquisition Design (GLAD). A proud graduate of Eisenhower High School, Mrs. Lee is deeply connected to the Yakima community. She and her husband live in Yakima, where they are busy raising their blended family of eight children, ranging from 22 years old to 20 months old.
