Mrs. Gregory has a passion for students and their immediate and long term success. She teaches students not how to put words on paper but to write with purpose and passion about the topics on their minds. She is an energetic and caring educator who pushes students to produce nothing but their best each day. She monitors student progress and meets with them regularly to provide personalized direction and instruction to enhance their progress. She is deeply devoted to student success.

Nurse Goetsch is a very upbeat, caring, and compassionate person. She is sympathetic to the issues and problems that typically concern our students. Nurse Goetsch is able to communicate with all of our students on their level, whether they are kindergarteners or high school seniors. She is able to listen to students and staff letting them know she is willing to talk with them and do whatever she can to help them.

Nurse Goetsch always promotes health and safety and will intervene with any actual and potential health problems, provide case management services, and coordinate communication with students, families, and appropriate school staff.

Mr. Castle is an excellent educator that is passionate about teaching. His students are fully engaged in his lectures as he makes them interactive like he is sharing a story instead of just taking notes. Mr. Castle is willing to lend a helping hand where ever he can. He is a valuable member of our Safety Team and is extremely helpful during all drills throughout the school year. Students have great respect for him because he has great respect for his students. Mr. Castle is a PQ Champion and we are glad that he is on our team at PCHS!

Seniors:

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application opened Oct 1st. If you intend to attend college or think you might attend college after high school, and are looking for money to help pay for school, you will need to complete the 23-24 FAFSA Application.

It is never too early to start thinking about funding college and start the scholarship application process. Please check out the Student Scholarship Spreadsheet for a list of current and active scholarships.

It is post graduation planning season! Ms.Gray, the College and Career Advisor, will continue to meet with juniors 1:1 to discuss their post graduation plans.

Encourage Your Student to Apply Today

Hi Morgan,

With summer quickly approaching, we wanted to encourage you to share information about our Emerging Scholars Academy (ESA) and CAMINOS: Your Journey to College pre-college programs with your rising high school juniors or seniors. ESA is geared towards students who identify as Black or African-American, while CAMINOS is geared towards students who identify as Hispanic/Latinx. Students who have an interest in either culture are also encouraged to apply.

Our pre-college programs provide an opportunity for students to learn about higher education opportunities and cultural reinforcement. Students will find and build a strong sense of community while also preparing for the college application process and university experience.

CAMINOS will be held June 18 through June 22 while ESA will be held June 25 through July 1. These programs will be in person, and students will stay in residence halls on NC State's campus during their program. It only costs $20 for admitted students to attend.

Please encourage students to apply if they have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.4 or higher or are in the top 15% of their class and are interested in pursuing college. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 7.
