Notes From Dr. Raeder
Welcome to March! Winter school activities start to wrap up their seasons as the promise of spring's arrival signals the beginning of different sports seasons for many along with various fine arts events showcasing the plethora of talents of our Patriot students. We have so many reasons to be proud of our students and honor their achievements.
First, please attend parent-teacher conferences. Conferences will be 4 PM to 7:30 PM on Monday, March 10th in person in our gym and Monday, March 17th virtually. Conferences give great opportunities for parents to meet any new teachers your student may have in the second semester. In addition, conferences allow you to discuss your student's learning and teachers' expectations. If you are unable to attend conferences and would still like to talk to a teacher, or you find your student is struggling in a class or needs additional help, please don't hesitate to call LHS at 367-7990 to make an appointment to meet with the teacher, a counselor and/or administrator to have this important conversation.
State testing will begin in April. Juniors are the only class completing the test on April 2, 3, and 4. Administration will be meeting with all the Juniors to share some testing incentives. It is important that all students put forth their best effort on these tests. Freshmen and sophomores will have activities they will be involved with during testing times on those days. Seniors will not have to report to LHS until 10:30 AM on those dates, but they will have the opportunity to come in during testing times to complete make-up work or receive help from teachers. Lincoln High School will email detailed information closer to the State Testing Days.
Best of luck to all the juniors who will be testing!
