Two LCS Gala Requests
- The gala could use your help in a very specific way! Do you have a gift card or two that you can donate to the gala? Maybe $10 to Starbucks? Maybe $50 to a salon? If you have gift cards that you are comfortable donating to the LaSalle Catholic gala, we could use them! Please hand them to the school principal in the parking lot at drop off or at pick up, or send them into the school office with your child. Questions to Zach Zeckser at zzeckser@lasallecatholiccr.org or 319-396-7792. Thank you!
- The LaSalle Catholic Gala needs a few people with the unique willingness to ask local establishments for contributions to the gala. Mr. Zeckser has been having a blast reaching out to vendors in the area, and is also finding great success. That said, this fun task is usually carried out by a group of volunteers, and we have many partners and need a few more brave souls to make calls and emails to secure all of the donations we need. You can hand pick the places you would call, and the sooner you let us know you can help, the more likely you are to get to pick places you like! Contact Mr. Zeckser at zzeckser@lasallecatholiccr.org if interested. Thank you!
Scrip
The school year is almost half over. If you're still not earning funds towards next year's tuition, what's holding you back?
The easiest way to earn is by using scrip to purchase the things that you regularly buy, like gas. We all buy it and it just makes sense to get a little benefit from paying those high prices, right? Now is a great time to get started, because we're all going to be spending a little more as we prepare for the Christmas holiday.
How do you get started? Kwik Star cards are reloadable, which means that once you purchase a scrip card through our program and register it in your account, you can easily add funds to your card at any hour of the day. Even when Kwik Star is not offering a bonus rebate, they still have the highest rebate percentage of any gas station! If you don't already have a scrip account, you'll need to set up one first. This is how you do it:
1. Complete the quick sign-up form either on the RaiseRight website or mobile app. Download the RaiseRight app from the Apple App Store or Google Play or visit RaiseRight.com/enroll on your computer.
2. Select “Join a Program”
3. Enter our organization’s unique enrollment code, which is 796B34E448324.
4. Complete the fields to verify your account.
5. Enter and verify your phone number for 2-step verification (2-step verification protects your account if you forget your password or someone is using your account without your permission) to tie your earnings to our organization.
6. Set up online payment with your bank account
- From your Account page, choose Settings > Payment Options > Bank Account
- Follow the steps to automatically link your bank account
- There is a $0.15 fee per order
- You can also choose to pay online using a Visa, Mastercard or Discover card; there is a 2.6% fee per transaction
Once you have your account set up, visit the Support page to view videos and other resources to help you place your first order. If you want to get started right away with having a reloadable Kwik Star scrip card, we can quickly deliver one to LaSalle for you.
You can reload cards and order e-cards at any time. We'll be ordering physical gift cards each weekend from now through Dec. 11. This guarantees that you'll receive your scrip cards before Christmas. We typically submit our order for physical cards by 3:00 Sunday afternoon and orders will be delivered to LaSalle Thursday morning.
Please contact scrip coordinator Paula Fries (319-329-6829) if you have questions or need help.

Catholic Heart Workcamp Parent/Student Informational Meeting Nov. 28th
We are very excited to announce that we will be taking a group of 7th and 8th grade students to Catholic Heart Work Camp in New Castle, Pennsylvania this coming summer, June 18-24, 2023. This trip is a faith based service trip for Middle Schoolers looking to grow in their relationship in the Lord through prayer, worship, and service. We have space for 25 students and are inviting students from Regis, LaSalle, and St. Josephs. There will be an information meeting on Monday, Nov. 28th at 6:30 pm at Regis Middle School for any 7th and 8th grade student and their parents interested in learning more. Here is a video promo for 2021 that goes a little bit in depth on what CHWC looks like. Click here for some basic information to learn more.
Jesus came so we could have life to the fullest. Life with Him offers MORE. Because of Jesus, we can have a life of abundance. Of greatness. A life MORE fulfilling, satisfying, and remarkable than we can imagine.
A life with Christ is what we were made for.
We are God’s masterpiece, created for a purpose and destiny. Scripture is filled with Him telling us of the great works we are capable of. We were created to be more than bystanders. Christ invites us into a beautiful existence of being loved by Him and calls us to share that love with others through the unique gifts He has given each of us. He fills us up so we can overflow into the lives of others.
Join us this summer and discover MORE ways to use your gifts, experience MORE self-love, & embrace MORE of a relationship with Jesus Christ.
MORE LOVE.
MORE SERVICE.
MORE CONNECTION.
MORE HOPE.
MORE JOY.
MORE FULFILLMENT.
MORE PEACE.
WE WERE MADE FOR MORE.
MORE THAN THIS EARTHLY WORLD ASKS OF US.
Boys Basketball Concession Help Needed
Cough Drops
We have many students at the middle school that want or need cough drops. If your child is needing a cough drop for a sore throat or cough can you please send some cough drops in a bag marked with their name? I will keep them on my desk and they can come grab one when they need it. I have been buying them myself but it is becoming a bit expensive.
Thank you so much.

Junior Achievement Volunteers Needed
Junior Achievement classroom volunteers are needed at LaSalle Middle School this schoolyear!
