Football Hosts Spain Park on Senior Night
Hewitt-Trussville Football (6-2 overall; 4-1 7A Region 3) will host Spain Park (4-3 overall; 2-3 7A Region 3) on Friday October 20th.
Game Notes:
Who: Spain Park at Hewitt-Trussville
When: Friday October 20th 7:00pm (Gates open at 5:15pm)
Where: Husky Stadium
Weather: Cloudy 66 degrees (8% chance of rain)

The video board at Hewitt-Trussville Stadium will show content pregame. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to experience HT VISION!
Series History:
Friday's game will mark the 9th meeting between the two teams. Hewitt-Trussville leads the series 6-2. The Huskies have won the last three meetings including a 35-10 win in 2022.

Softball to Receive Championship Rings
Hewitt-Trussville Softball will receive their championship rings on Friday night after the 1st quarter. The Huskies captured the 7A state title in May. HT beat Fairhope 12-2 to win the title and cap a 46-8 season.
Hewitt Cheer Hosts Successful Showcase Event
Hewitt Cheer, in partnership with Trussville Academy of Cheer, hosted an amazing event on Sunday! This year's Showcase featured teams from each age division, including our HTMS and HTHS competition teams. We look forward to supporting our Hewitt-Trussville cheer programs as they prepare for competition season!
XC: Dew on the Trails Recap
Hewitt-Trussville Cross Country competed in the Dew it on the Trails event in Decatur Saturday morning.
The HT Girls finished 2nd out of 10 teams. Avery Cahoon finished 2nd overall with a time of 18:27.04. Kinley Harris joined Cahoon in the top five as she finished 3rd with a time of 18:35.70. Mary Durham was 8th overall as she finished in 19:27.92. Natalie Wiram was 19th overall with a time of 20:11.72. Bella Bales was the final counting score for the Huskies as she finished in 21:25.80.
The HT Boys finished 2nd out of 13 teams. The Huskies placed three runners in the top 10. Oscar Spears was 2nd overall with a time of 16:03.11 Aran Cane was 5th overall with a time of 16:22.58. Brooks Maddox was 6th overall with a time of 16:26.63. Lelan Neal was 12th with a time of 16:38.90. Noah Jordan was the final counting score for the team as he finished 14th with a time of 16:43.72.
This weekend XC will host the Husky Challenge. The Varsity Girls will race at 8am and the Varsity Girls will race at 8:30am.

Flag Football Splits Double Header
The Hewitt-Trussville Girls Flag Football team went 1-1 on Tuesday. The Huskies fell to Hoover 20-14 before beating Helena 35-0.
The Huskies will travel to Oxford on Monday.

Freshmen Football Beats Vestavia
The HT 9th Grade Football team moved to 7-0 this week with a 28-14 win over Vestavia. Jake Lowery was 15-22 passing for 152 yards and two touchdowns. He also added two rushing touchdowns. D'ante Seals and Riley O'Neill caught touchdown passes.
Colby Rankins had an interception on defense. Jayden Berry and Braylon Walker had fumble recoveries.
Bowling Wins Season Opener
Hewitt-Trussville Bowling defeated Shades Valley on Thursday in the season opener. The HT Boys won 1275-906 led by Carter Pannell who rolled a 237. The HT Girls won 1090-828 led by Anna Abney who rolled a 171.
The Huskies will host Mortimer Jordan on Monday.

7th Grade Football Wins Metro Championship
The HTMS 7th Grade Football team capped an undefeated 8-0 season with a 61-20 win over Berry in the Metro Championship game Wednesday night. The Huskies piled up 48 points in the first half.
Jack Floyd ran nine times for 244 yards and four touchdowns. Daniel Williams added 145 rushing yards and scored twice. Walker Willoughby had three tackles, six assists, and one tackle for loss. Hunter Futrell had three tackles, four assists, and one tackle for loss.
8th Grade Football Wins Metro Championship
The 8th Grade Football team defeated Thompson 52-34 on Thursday night to win the Metro Championship. The win completed a perfect 8-0 season for the Huskies.
CJ Davis rushed for 300 yards on 18 carries. Davis scored five touchdowns and converted four two-point plays. Tyler Wilson rushed eight times for 191 yards and two scores.
MS Bowling Wins Opener
HTMS Bowling moved to 1-0 on the year with wins over McAdory Thursday. The HT Boys won 728-374 and the HT Girls won 830-481. The Huskies will host North Jefferson on October 30.

Tryouts for the 2024 HTMS Boys and Girls Tennis Teams will be held October 30th - November 1st from 3:15 - 5:00 at the Hewitt-Trussville Tennis Complex (located behind Hewitt-Trussville Middle School). Players must sign up using the link below and be 100% complete in Dragonfly before tryouts.
