Week 7, Term 1 2022
18/3/22 - He Pānui Wiki Whitu, Whānga Tuatahi
Kia Ora Koutou (Hi Everyone)
The phrase of the week is 'Tag Team'. We are very much in this situation where staff and whānau (families) are rolling in and out of school given various different isolation requirements. A massive thanks goes out to all staff who are on the ground at school covering for those of us who are away. The sheer fact that things carry on as 'normal' when people are away is testament to a solid, supportive team and I'm really proud of that. We all look forward to seeing tamariki and staff returning to school when their periods of isolation finish.
Values Focus This Week
Care and compassion is really front and centre at the moment. Our thoughts go out to all of you who are either at home with COVID or caring for a family member that is. Look after yourselves.
Have a lovely weekend everyone,
Ngā manaakitanga,

We continue to have a number of staff and families rolling in and out for isolation periods. Our students seem to be largely avoiding contracting the illness which is awesome. It appears to be mostly adults and teenagers. There are no updates at this point, please carry on with your 7 days of isolation if you are a household contact or if you test positive for COVID.
Lunch Box Reminders
We are noticing that some students are bringing juice, fizzy, Powerade, flavoured milk, mini chocolate bars and sweets to school.
Please see that all of these items are kept for at home eating. We don't allow anything other than water for drinks, and disallow chocolate bars, sweets and other treat food in school lunch boxes. Please help us to manage this by not sending these items to school with your children.
Hui - Assembly
Thanks very much to Lizzie & Sam T for running a great assembly today. It was cool to see you all in Ōnoke. Facebook won't allow the link to the assembly film to be shared due to the Just Dance music. If you would like to watch Lizzie & Sam's assembly, please find the film on our Facebook page.
