Principal's Message
Dear Families,
This is our final Principal's Bulletin of the school year! As we head into our last week of school, I wish to extend a hearty thank you to our wonderful community for such generous support this school year. Our PTA Executive Board, Room Parents, LSAT Members, Committee Chairs, Field Trip Chaperones, and all parents/caregivers who helped us make this a TERRIFIC school year deserve a round of applause!
I am grateful for the parents who have volunteered to serve in leadership roles for the 22.23 school year and look forward to collaborating.
I hope everyone has a safe and joyful summer break.
Our annual "Sneak a Peek" event is Friday, August 26 at 2:30pm. Come meet your child's teacher, check out the classroom, and enjoy a popsicle on the playground.
First Day of School for K-5 Students is Monday, August 29.
First Day PK4 is Tuesday, August 30 for last names beginning with A-L.
First Day PK4 is Wednesday, August 31 for last names beginning with M-Z.
First Day for entire PK4 class is Thursday, September 1.

We are taking a pause from our K-1 model and moving to one First Grade and two Kindergarten classes next year. We want to provide our youngest learners with more time to develop social-emotional skills and self-regulation with another year of play-based center work.

New Staff
Please welcome the following new staff members:
--Ms. Natalie Elmore, Social Worker. Ms. Elmore is coming to us from a local charter school.
--Mr. Carlton Strother, Music Teacher. Mr. Strother is coming to us from Beers Elementary/DCPS.
--Ms. Graciela Segovia, Manager of School Logistics. Ms. Segovia is coming to us from McFarland Middle School/DCPS. Ms. Segovia looks forward to supporting our community with all operational needs. Ms. Segovia is a 12 month employee and will start at Ross on Monday, June 27.

- July 23 | The Kreeger Museum: Enjoy a day of beautiful contemporary and modern art and architecture at the Kreeger Museum.
- Aug. 13 | The Phillips Collection: Explore this amazing and interactive art museum with fun activities for all ages!
