Principal's Message
Dear Ridgeview United,
We are thrilled to announce that our softball team has become the MACC Champions! Their hard work, teamwork, and dedication have truly paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievement. Congratulations to our athletes and coaches for this fantastic accomplishment!
This has been a busy week with our first PBIS Fun Friday, Red Ribbon week, Bus Driver Appreciation Week and our biggest concert of the year, celebrating Hispanic Heritage month. It has been a great week to be at Ridgeview.
Warm regards,
Principal Thomas Garrett
REMINDER: As we approach the upcoming holidays, we want to remind everyone that candy, desserts, baked goods (store-bought or homemade), or any other edible items are not to be sold or distributed at school or on the bus unless approved in advance by school administration. According to our Student Code of Conduct, students who do not adhere to this expectation are subject to disciplinary action for violation 7A: Failure to Follow Rules, and all food items will be confiscated.
This measure is crucial for maintaining a safe environment for all students, especially in light of recent reports about harmful substances being shared among students. Please discuss these expectations and possible consequences with your student(s), as we will take this matter seriously.
You can also help protect your child by encouraging them to only eat food items that they have brought from home or those that are in their original sealed packaging.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our students safe at school, and congratulations again to our softball team!

Annual Parent Perception Survey: A Message from Dr. Looney
Dear Parent/Guardian,
At Fulton County Schools, we truly value the feedback from our parents about their experiences with the district. That is why I encourage all parents to take the Annual Parent Perception Survey. This survey allows parents the opportunity to tell us what they think about their student’s schools and the district. While we always make it a priority to listen to our parents, this survey affords us another opportunity to receive your thoughts and opinions. The survey is anonymous and confidential. Please complete one survey per school where you have one or more students enrolled. The survey will remain open from Wednesday, October 16 through Friday, November 22.
It’s not only parents we want to hear from. Our students’ opinions are important too! Students in grades 3-12 will be provided with the opportunity to take the Annual Student Perception Survey between October 17 and November 22 during the school day. In our ongoing efforts to remain transparent with parents, please take a moment to review the 6-12 Student Survey.
Relationships Matter!

Volunteering and Support
RCMS Foundation Update:
The Foundation has had an INCREDIBLE start to the school year! In the last month we have held three of our biggest events of the year:
- Parent Party: Our Parent Party in September was a fun night out building our panther community and we raised $20,000!!!
- Pantherpalooza: Over 550 RCMS students stayed after school to meet and connect with new and old friends- and enjoy the bounce houses! Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered!
- Hispanic Heritage Night: Tonight, October 24th we will celebrate our diverse community with performances by all three Foundation-supported music programs and a delicious dinner provided by some of our families.
We are also concluding a successful Fall sports season and are proud of all of our Panther Athletes! Special congratulations to the girls softball team for winning the MAAC Championship and to our girl’s and boy’s cross country teams for coming in 2nd place at the MAAC cross country championship.
We were able to add a second boys soccer team this Fall, giving more students the opportunity to play, and we are looking forward to adding a second baseball team in the spring. Thank you to all of our generous donors and business partners for contributing to our success and making these programs possible for our students.
