Here Comes March!
As we say good-bye to February and hello to March, this is a good time to prepare for what lies ahead.
Our WASC visit will be here in three weeks. If you would like to participate (via Zoom) please contact Dr. Oplustic. The committee will take about 10 minutes of your time to ask questions about HSMC and your experience as a parent and your impression of your student's experience. We would appreciate you volunteering for this important service to our school.
We have one more information night schedules for next week. Spots are filling up fast so please tell everyone you know who may be interested to get their application in as soon as possible.
Other events we have to look forward to in March are the talent show on the 18th and Spring Break from the 28th to April 1st.
Have a great week Phoenix families.
Volunteers Needed!!

Relationships 101: Healthy Relationships For Teens
After 2 years the Ventura County Fair is returning and we are calling for inspired young artists to participate in the annual poster art contest.
Youth in grades 5-12 from all over the County are invited to enter the Ventura County Fair poster art contest.
The Poster Contest theme is “VC Fair Rides Again” and will be the guideline to creating designs. The winning artwork will convey the artist’s personal interpretation of their favorite feature of the Ventura County Fair. It will be seen throughout the community in advertising and as a part of Fair promotions.
Cash prizes will be awarded and every entry will be prominently displayed in the Youth Expo at the Fair.
Entries are being accepted at the Fairgrounds beginning February 14, the deadline for submissions is April 15, 2022.
Entries can be brought to the rear of the Fairgrounds administration office at 10 W. Harbor Blvd. in Ventura. Monday through Friday from 10AM until 5PM.
We think this is a great way to give children an opportunity to dream, create and participate in the County’s most endearing and enduring legacy event. Past winners have used their work in portfolios and to further budding art careers.
Below, please find the contest rules and information, and an entry form for your convenience. These documents can also be found at www.venturacountyfair.org.
Mask Requirements
As of right now, our students and staff will be required to wear masks indoors until the end of the Spring Semester. I do not anticipate a change as the Board recently voted to maintain the directive. If, however, there is a change, we will let you know immediately.
Thank you for your patience and support.
