Re: Important Announcement: New Facilities & Fleet Manager
Dear MESD Community,
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Antonio Sanchez as the new Facilities & Fleet Manager at Multnomah Education Service District (MESD). Antonio’s first day will be July 1st, 2024.
Antonio brings over 20 years of extensive experience in facility management, having demonstrated exceptional skills in overseeing both small and large-scale projects, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient and safe facility operations.
Most recently, Antonio served as the Operations Facilities Manager at Riverdale School District 51J, where he supervised custodial staff, managed maintenance operations, and administered procurement activities. His expertise extends across various roles, including Floor & Carpet Team Manager at ServiceMaster Solutions, Facilities Coordinator/Supervisor at Oregon Athletic Clubs, and Head Custodian at Sherwood School District. Antonio’s comprehensive background also includes serving as Area Manager for J’s Maintenance, contracted by Home Depot, where he supervised custodial teams across multiple stores.
Antonio's dedication to maintaining organized, efficient and safe facilities aligns perfectly with MESD’s Blueprint’28 goals. His strong organizational skills and attention to detail ensure that he will be a valuable asset to our team.
Antonio shares: “I am thrilled to be joining your school district and excited to bring my experiences and skills to this new position. One of my favorite hobbies is soccer; I enjoy coaching, especially when working with kids who are new to the sport. It's exciting to see them grow and develop a love for the game. Family is where I spend most of my free time, as a father of four boys, I stay active by attending their games, working on projects, and providing opportunities for them to learn and grow. Whenever possible, I travel back to my hometown of Guadalajara, Mexico, to enjoy time with family and indulge in the local cuisine. I also enjoy working on projects that support families and help schools in small villages, as I believe every child deserves a quality education. My favorite words are "moving forward," as I believe in continually looking ahead and learning from mistakes to improve. Again, thank you for this opportunity. I am excited to join your team and support its needs with my experience and knowledge.”
Please join us in welcoming Antonio Sanchez to his new role at MESD. We are confident that his leadership and expertise will contribute significantly to our ongoing efforts to provide high-quality educational facilities and services.
Sincerely,
Doana Anderson, SFO
