Term 4, Week 4 - Friday, 1 November 2024
Principal Update
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
As we approach the halfway mark of Term 4, I want to take this opportunity to commend the remarkable efforts of our staff and students. The dedication and commitment shown in our academic pursuits this term are truly inspiring.
Our students have been working diligently across all subjects, showing great resilience and enthusiasm as we near the end of the school year. It’s wonderful to see them embracing challenges and striving for excellence. From classroom discussions to collaborative projects, their growth is evident, and I encourage everyone to continue fostering a love for learning.
Advent Season: A Time for Reflection and Giving
As we move closer to the Advent season, let us remember the significance of this time. Advent is not just a countdown to Christmas; it is a period of preparation, reflection and hope. It is also a perfect opportunity to think about those in need within our community.
St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Hamper Appeal
In the spirit of giving, we will be supporting the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Hamper Appeal this year. I invite all families to contribute non-perishable food items and other essentials to help those less fortunate. Your generosity can bring joy and comfort to many families this Christmas season. Please drop off your donations to your child’s class.
ACM Time Change
A letter was sent out via email this week to advise of the time change from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. We still require more parents to join the CSAC for 2025. If you would like to know more about the CSAC roles and responsibilities, please contact me directly via andrew.gaudoin@cewa.edu.au.
Collectables for the Parish
The parish are still in need of recyclables to raise money for works at the Church. A recyclable bin has been placed on the basketball court for anyone that has aluminum cans, bottles (both plastic and glass). We would really love to see our school community support the parish as much as we can with this initiative. Even if you place the recyclable item in your child’s bag and they can place it in the recyclable bin, it would be appreciated by the parish immensely.
Busy Time of Year For All of Us
No matter what industry you work in, it often feels like everyone is busy, juggling countless responsibilities and deadlines. Amidst this whirlwind, it’s essential to pause and prioritise your well-being and that of your family. Taking time for yourself—whether through a quiet moment of reflection, a walk, or quality time with loved ones—can rejuvenate your spirit and strengthen those important connections. Remember, it’s okay to step back and recharge; it’s a vital part of maintaining balance in our busy lives.
Looking Ahead
As we journey through the rest of this term, let us continue to support one another. Encourage your children to stay focused and remind them of the importance of kindness and compassion towards others.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our school community. Together, we can make a significant impact on the lives of those around us.
Have a lovely weekend with your friends and family.
Kind regards
Andrew Gaudoin
