Next Wednesday, 3/19 during lunchtime, we will be holding our bracelet fundraiser to support Riley Bischoff, our sweet third grade student that is currently undergoing treatment for brain cancer. 100% of the proceeds benefit Riley and her family. Please see flyer for full details.

NOTE: We have had some parents express interest in donating an amount above the $2 donation for the cost of the bracelet. If you want to do that, please make sure your child’s envelope is clearly marked that you do not need change just so our volunteers know. If nothing is marked on the envelope and you give more than $2, we will make change and give it back to your child. You are not at all required nor expected to donate more. We just wanted to let everyone know that’s how we’ll do it since we’ve had a few people ask. 💜

As we step into March is Reading Month, we are excited to celebrate the joy and importance of reading with our students. Reading is not only a fundamental skill but also a gateway to imagination, learning, and lifelong success. Encouraging a love for reading at home and in school helps build strong literacy skills and fosters curiosity in our children.

This year, we are thrilled to announce that our school’s featured book for March is Reading Month is The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. This heartwarming and adventurous story follows Roz, a robot who finds herself stranded on a remote island and must learn to adapt, connect with nature, and build friendships in unexpected ways.

Throughout March, we have a variety of fun and engaging activities planned to bring The Wild Robot to life for our students. From themed reading challenges and classroom discussions to creative projects and special events, there will be plenty of opportunities for students to immerse themselves in the story and develop a deeper appreciation for reading.

We encourage families to join in the excitement at home and by the themes of resilience, friendship, and the wonders of nature. Let’s make this a month filled with the joy of storytelling and a love for books!
