Falcon Flyer
Belong. Inspire. Grow.
Straight from the Hardt
Hello Ridgeline Families-- You can’t take for granted the hard work, skills, and talents of Ridgeline students. At times, it’s easy to focus on, and get caught up in the negativity that exists in our world. My antidote to that is taking this time every week to reflect on the positive influence so many of our students have on our school community and beyond. By now, most parents are aware of our B.I.G mission. Inspiration has another tag line that we don’t often highlight, that I want to share today. Inspire…Be the Spark. Each day I witness these “sparks” within our school. These sparks spread a positive flow of energy to others around them. You see it evident in successful academic, athletic, and performance groups. They feed off of one another and that energy elevates the organization. I’ve seen students grow and discover their talents and abilities. This also grows their confidence in so many other aspects of their lives. Reflecting back on my message from last week, it underscores the value of being ‘present’, engaging, and getting involved. The power of a high school education, in person, is demonstrated through the many experiences created within. When you skim through the Flyer each week, you’re witnessing much more than a list of accomplishments. Our students are real people who do extraordinary things. You’ll see our Ad for the Tuck Everlasting musical. This is more than an event for our cast and crew. This is them putting their entire self- heart and soul- on display for the world to see. This group creates new bonds and friendships through this shared experience, and memories they will never forget. Tessa and I were treated to an exclusive performance by the state choir group before they left for Ellensburg. Listening to them in the choir room, accompanied by Mrs. Peterson, literally transported me to another place and time. Their voices caused my mind to drift, my tension to ease—it was fantastic! I always think I should spend 15 minutes every day in the choir or orchestra room because we know how powerful music can be for your mind and body!
A couple other quick highlights before you stop reading my portion of the newsletter….: New ASB officers have been elected (pictured here); several groups headed to state, including our ASL team for the first time; and the AP testing schedule.
Every year I also like to attempt to get a Senior Class Photo. I grew up in time and place where all my senior class was on campus every day, but when we try and schedule a photo shoot here, it’s a very different story. That said we’re calling all seniors who can be available to be on campus Wednesday, May 01, 11:00am, in the Ridgeline Stadium. Senior Class Photo Shoot. This is our last chance to get a group shot for the yearbook.
Be Informed, Read the Flyer!
Make it a great weekend! --Mr. Hardt
