Dr. Hicks Assembly
On Tuesday, we had the privilege of welcoming Dr. Hicks during our school-wide assembly. His powerful message encouraged students to remain resilient during challenging times, overcome bullying, and take responsibility for their actions—all key elements of CSD’s Strategic Plan – Roadmap '27: Centennial Profile of a Graduate. Thank you to everyone who made this meaningful experience possible!
Hands-On & Extended Learning Opportunities
Providing students with enriching, hands-on learning experiences is a vital part of CSD’s Strategic Plan – Roadmap '27, Goal #4: Ensuring Equitable Access to High-Quality Academics. This week, students engaged in exciting field trips and performances, including:

Message from CHS Counselors - Forcating End 3/7
Forecasting! Students have started the process of forecasting classes for next year. Here are the highlights:
- 9th -11th-grade students will work with teachers, families, and peers to choose classes and will be taking the next three Wednesday Advisory to forecast on 3/5. Counselors will not be available for many individual appointments, so make sure you are working with your advisory teachers with questions.
- Students will fill out a forecasting sheet and enter their choices into StudentVUE. This is a crucial step in us building the overall course matrix for the 2025-26 school year. Please make sure your student has entered complete choices into StudentVUE on or before March 5th.
- Students who wish to consult with their counselor about their choices can make appointments in March/April/May, and their choices can be edited.
- Students will have a final chance to review their choices in May. Our goal is to provide students with their 25-26 schedules before summer. At this time, schedules will be considered final, and we will be making very few schedule changes in the fall.
