Whitford Art Student Shines at Art Show
Whitford art students take home awards at the Beaverton City Library Art Show. 6th grade Piper Felton won the 2nd place, People's Choice Award, and a $50 gift card to Blick Art.
Congratulations to Piper and all the Whitford artists who participated.
Art and Chemistry Combine in Ms. Cavarino's Class
6th Grade students had a lot of fun while learning about the chemistry of fiber arts and making connections between the past cultural traditions of Àdìrẹ and present fiber art designs. Students created beautiful indigo-dyed shirts using various resist-dying techniques to create striking patterns in blue and white.
Thank you community members and BEF for funding this amazing project.
Whitford Family Table
During WIN, students had the opportunity to share a story of a meaningful meal in their family. Food can hold so many memories, traditions, and love so we collected all these meaningful meals to a Whitford Family Table display. It has been wonderful to learn more about things that matter to our students.

Share Your Career with Whitford Students
Whitford is looking for adults who are interested in sharing their career with our students! We are collecting a list of interested individuals and once we have enough people, we will reach out to them directly to plan specific dates and times of presentations (likely in the new year). We are also encouraging staff and families to send the link to their friends and family members that may be interested.
