Additionally, professional street dancer Vo Vera provided two workshops to CHS dance students. Vo is co-founder of The Sacred G's and teaches professionally across the valley. FRENCH CLASSES PARTICIPATE IN PETANQUE
Madame Bejarano’s French students have been playing pétanque. In pétanque the objective is to score points by having boules closer to the target than the opponent after all boules have been thrown. The current form of the game originated in the early 1900’s in La Ciotat, in Provence, France. The French name pétanque comes from petanca in the Provençal dialect of the Occitan language, deriving from the expression pè tancat , meaning 'foot fixed' or 'foot planted' (on the ground). Right now is the perfect weather to play pétanque!

GRADUATION CEREMONY INFORMATION
As we move forward with our planning for the Class of 2021 graduation ceremony, the District Office has informed us that due to the pandemic, graduating students will be allowed to invite 2 guests to attend at this time. Two latex free wristbands will be issued to seniors to distribute to their guests. The latex free wristbands MUST be worn to obtain access to the Austin Field bleachers and will be strictly enforced.
We know you have many questions about the graduation ceremonies, but unfortunately, we will need to be closer to the date before we can finalize the details to share with you. We are investigating a number of different scenarios that will ultimately be decided based on the status of the pandemic and the subsequent health guidelines provided by the CDC, Maricopa County and Chandler Unified School District at the time of graduation. Rest assured that as soon as we know what direction we will be taking, we will let you know.
Thank you for your patience as we navigate through these challenging times.
