After reviewing your child's ATLAS scores, you may want to find some ways for your child to strengthen some weak academic areas. The Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education has prepared guides for parents or guardians which outline essential learning targets for students in grades K-8 for literacy, science, math, and social studies. Magness Creek has WIN (What I Need) every morning from 8:05-8:35. This is a time where all students receive targeted practice on the skills that they need. It is imperative that our students get here by 8:00 each day to firm up skills for proficiency. Don't be tardy for this essential party! 🤩
Here are the highlights for this week:
*Our third and fourth graders will be taking the ATLAS writing interim on Wednesday morning.
*Our next PTO meeting is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 3:45 in the library. Any second grade students that come with their parents will be performing at the end of the meeting.
*We will have a PAWS Assembly on Friday morning to celebrate Self-Direct, and we will also be celebrating National STEM Day on Friday as well. National STEM Day is celebrated on November 8th every year to encourage children to explore their interests in science, technology, engineering, and math. Each grade level has some fun things planned!
