EAGLE TRACT
CORNERSTONE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY
MESSAGE
We warmly welcome you to the month of October. I invite you to reflect on the importance of fostering a supportive environment within our school community as we begin a new month. Positive behavior is the foundation upon which our students' academic and personal growth is built. As a community, we must embrace the International Baccalaureate (IB) learner profile attributes as a means to a safe and happy school space. Students who embody the attributes inspire their peers and contribute to a culture of kindness and respect. Below are few tips for key members of the school community;
Role of Parents
Parents play a vital role in reinforcing our school values and expectations.
We encourage you to engage with your child about the student code of conduct, fostering open dialogue about behavior, respect, and responsibility.
School Support
Our school offers various programs and resources to support students' social and emotional growth. However, the effectiveness of these initiatives relies on collaborative efforts between home and school.
Understanding the Student Code of Conduct
The student code of conduct is a guiding framework that shapes our behavior and interactions in school and at school events. Familiarize yourself and your child with this document to ensure a shared understanding of its significance.
We will empower our students to become compassionate, responsible, and well-rounded individuals if we consistently reinforce positive values and behavior.
Let us work together to create a school culture where kindness, respect, and excellence flourish.
May we have an amazing month ahead.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
William Gyamfi

PYP & MYP SHARING
PYP SHARING
We extended our student agency journey to parents through an engaging PYP sharing session! The goal was to empower parents with knowledge on fostering ownership, autonomy, and self-directed learning in their children. Parents gained insights into how student agency enhances critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills. Through interactive discussions and activities, parents discovered practical strategies to support their children’s agency at home. Together, we are cultivating a community that values student-led learning!
MYP SHARING
On September 28th, the MYP Sharing Session took place at the Masua Campus. The focus of the event was Assessments in the MYP program.
The Academic Director and Coordinators led an interactive discussion, inviting parents to share their perspectives on assessments. Additionally, parents had the chance to meet with subject teachers to gain insight into assessment methods and student achievement levels.

GRADE ONE - HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
As part of our first unit on Healthy Lifestyle, we had a series of fun and educational activities aimed at promoting health and wellness. The highlight was the Healthy Picnic, where we learned about nutritious eating while enjoying healthy snacks.
To better understand nutrition, we participated in an exciting activity where we drew and filled the Food Pyramid with examples of foods from the five food groups.

GRADE TWO - FARM TO TABLE EXPLORATION
The second unit in Grade 2 kicked off with an exciting unit exploration. Raw materials were displayed ranging from grains, to semi-finished products, such as flour, and finally finished products, like bread. As students walked by the table, their curiosity was sparked, leading them to the See, Think, Wonder Wall where they reflected on the journey of food from farms to their tables.
These reflections set the stage for thought-provoking games that helped reveal the Central idea of the unit: Different things we consume go through many processes.
GRADE THREE - BODY SYSTEMS
Our students explored body systems, learning about their interconnectedness and importance of healthy habits. They discovered how daily choices impact overall health through interactive activities and lessons.
The unit culminated in "Body Blast Off!", an energetic aerobic session promoting physical fitness and teamwork.
Students took away essential lessons on healthy habits, physical activity, and well-being.
