Glenbard Superintendent Search
Our high school feeder district, Glenbard District 87, has begun the search for its next superintendent. Superintendent David Larson, who has been Glenbard superintendent since 2012, will retire from the district at the end of the 2024-25 school year. Glenbard is working with BWP & Associates, an educational leadership search firm, to assist in the superintendent search process.
The D87 Board of Education is interested in input about the desired qualities, experience and characteristics of the next superintendent. BWP & Associates developed an online survey about the next superintendent. Glenbard families, students, staff and community members are invited to take the survey HERE. The survey will be available from Sept. 9 to 21.
BWP & Associates will also be conducting a community forum on September 12th at 6:30 p.m. in the District 87 Administrative Center at 596 Crescent Blvd. in Glen Ellyn. This is open to all members of the Glenbard 87 community. CLICK HERE to attend the Sept. 12 community forum virtually.
Findings from the survey and community forum will be included in a leadership profile that will be
reported to the Board of Education on Oct. 14 in the District 87 Administrative. The board anticipates approving a contract with the next superintendent before the 2024 calendar year-end. The next superintendent will begin on July 1, 2025.
Student Handbook
CLICK HERE for the 2024-25 Student Handbook (clic para espanol ).
Each year, the Student Handbook is updated and provides basic information on important matters such as curriculum, discipline, student health, parent-teacher conferences and more. Help your child have a successful school year by becoming familiar with the information in this handbook and discussing it with your child as appropriate. This handbook is based on Board Policy with relevant policy sections noted in parentheses. Parents are encouraged to review Board Policy, which is provided in a searchable format. The Board of Education reviews and amends its policy regularly; if the policy differs from information in this handbook, Board Policy takes precedence.
