OJT News
Students,
Would you like to leave school early every day to prepare for your future career? Would you like a class you can make an A in just for turning in paperwork you already have and a timesheet? How about a class that helps you make extra money to spend? You can have all these benefits if you take an OJT class! OJT is a cooperative education program that allows students to engage in productive work on-site while providing knowledge and skills essential to the job position.
Students interested in participating in OJT courses must first speak with their guidance counselor to discuss eligibility. Then, they need to secure a job (get hired) and finally meet with me, Mrs. Dewey, to complete the necessary OJT paperwork.
I look forward to continuing our local workplace collaborations and I greatly appreciate all those wonderful folks currently working with us.
Thanks for supporting Sumter Schools.
Mrs. Dewey

Students accepting this award were Brook Raybon and Randy Moses.

Last but certainly not least, Caroline Moore received her American FFA degree, the highest degree a member can earn through the National FFA Association, at the final session of the convention. Only 1% of the Nation's FFA members achieve this honor!
The members who participated in this years National FFA Convention listened to the inspiring words of Dr. Temple Grandin, learned about the beekeeping and honey industry from a local producer and met industry professionals and colleges from across the nation at the expo hall.
