Scholastic Book Fair is 11/2-11/4
The Scholastic Book Fair will be returning to OAS from Wednesday, November 2 to Friday, November 4th! All students, Grades 3-8, will visit the book fair with their classes. Middle School students will be attending the fair with their Language Arts teacher. Please have a conversation with your child/children as to what they are allowed to purchase at the fair since a small selection of non-book items will be available.
The book fair will also be open after school on November 3 from 3:00-4:00. Parents are welcome to attend at this time.
We need volunteers to help make the fair a success! You can sign up for a short volunteer slot at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090b49afaa2fa0ff2-oasbook1. Please refer to the attached schedule to see when your child/children will be visiting the fair.
Cash, credit cards (adults only), and Scholastic eWallets will be accepted at the fair. Families with an eWallet balance from last year will receive an email from Scholastic with instructions on how to use it this year.
BOX TOPS
OAS is participating in Box Tops for Education, which means that you can earn cash with the products you already buy to help our school get the supplies it needs. We have already earned close to $100 this year, ten cents at a time. Every purchase matters.
Our goal is to earn $1000 through Box Tops this year!
Here’s how you can help:
1. Download the Box Tops app on your phone and follow instructions on how to set up an account and sign up to support our school.
2. Then, just shop as you normally would.
3. Use the app to snap a photo of your receipt within 14 days of purchase. It’ll automatically identify any Box Tops participating products and you’ll give back to our school with each product you buy.
If you shop online, you can earn with your digital or email receipt, too. See how to submit those receipts at the link below.
Please contact Amanda Cowell (amanda.cowell@gmail.com) with any questions or if you need assistance downloading the app, scanning receipts or linking your price plus card.
