Welcome to the fifth week of school! We hope you’re settling into the rhythm of the year and finding excitement in your classes. As we enter the second half of this quarter, remember that your hard work and dedication truly make a difference.

Important Reminders

• Quarter Deadline: We’re just a few weeks away from the end of the quarter! This is a great time to reflect on your goals and ensure all assignments are submitted on time. Staying organized will help you finish strong!

• Assignment Submissions: Please remember that turning in your assignments on time is essential for your success. If you’re facing challenges, don’t hesitate to reach out to your teachers for support.

Parent-Teacher Conference Update:

For our families, please note that the Parent-Teacher Conference event has been postponed. We will keep you updated on the new date as soon as possible. Your partnership is vital in supporting our students, and we appreciate your understanding.

As always, we’re here to support each of you. Let’s keep the momentum going and make this week amazing!

This year, students will be placed in one of two designated tracks. Students will be placed in either the 18 credit or 22 credit track.

Working in conjunction with the counseling team, our leadership team will determine which credit track your child will be placed in, depending upon their current grade and number of credits.

All students with last names beginning with letter A-H will receive counseling services from Mr. Booker

All students with last names beginning with letter I-Z will receive counseling services from Ms. Horgan

• 1st Period: 7:10am - 8:40am

• 2nd Period: 8:45am - 10:15am

• 3rdA Period: 10:20am - 11:00am

• Lunch: 11:00am - 11:30am

• 3rdB Period: 11:35am - 12:25pm

• 4th Period: 12:30pm - 2:00pm

Any student that is taking 1 or more virtual classes are expected to engage in Weekly Two Way Communications. You will receive an email from your teacher mentor every Tuesday, that requires your response.

Attendance Policy

Regular attendance is crucial for your child's academic success. Please make every effort to ensure your child attends school on time every day and stays throughout the whole day. Consistent attendance throughout the school day allows your child to engage in learning and maximize their educational opportunities fully.

Illness: If your child is not feeling well and cannot attend school, please notify us immediately. Students who are ill should not attend school to prevent the spread of illness to others.

Excused Absences: We understand that there may be instances when your child needs to be absent due to illness, medical appointments, family emergencies, or other legitimate reasons. Please notify the school in advance whenever possible to classify the absence as excused.

Unexcused Absences: Unexcused absences negatively impact your child's education. Absences without valid reasons will be considered unexcused, and appropriate actions may be taken per district policy.

Timely reporting of absences helps us maintain accurate attendance records and ensures that your child's absence is properly documented. Absences must be reported within 24 hours.

There are two convenient methods for reporting your child's absence to facilitate efficient communication and accurate attendance records.

• You can notify your child's school through the dedicated attendance line. Please leave a detailed message stating your child's name, grade, and reason for absence.

• You can report absences directly through MiStar, our secure online portal for student information. MiStar provides a user-friendly interface that allows you to submit absences.

• Students must show ID at gate when redeeming the Go Fan ticket

• No Backpacks or School Bags allowed at home events

• All Elementary and Middle School Students must be accompanied by an adult at all sporting events or they will not be allowed in

• Students must sit in the bleachers during the game or they will be asked to leave

• Extra-curricular Activities and Events are an extension of the classroom. The W-W Student Code of Conduct will be enforced at our extra-curricular activities and events

• No Re-Entry
