Principal's Message
Good afternoon Canby High School Students & Families,
As we enter into June, it is a great time to reflect on this past school year. We have celebrated state championships in FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), FFA (Future Farmers of America), OHSET (Oregon High School Equestrian Teams), Swimming, Wrestling, Track & Field, and Choir; we have hundreds of students earning college credit through AP (Advanced Placement) and Dual Credit classes and career skills in our CTE (Career & Technical Education) offerings; and we have over 40 clubs where students engage with their activity and their peers. This is a small sample of the happenings at CHS that we get to celebrate.
Speaking of celebrations, we have begun graduation season with Decision Day acknowledging our seniors’ next steps, a signing day spotlighting our college going athletes, and MEChA end of the year party recognizing our Latino graduates. Next week brings the Multi Sport Athlete Breakfast on Wednesday, the Senior Awards Ceremony on Thursday, and Graduation on Friday. You will notice that the senior section is moved up in the newsletter for the next two weeks as there is important information that we would like to highlight. We are so excited to honor our graduates.
All of our students have finals coming, and it is important that they continue to keep up with their studies and finish strong. Thank you for your continued partnership. It is our honor to serve this community.
Have a wonderful week!
Best,
Cari Sloan

Important Information
Graduation All Night Party
Please help us celebrate the Canby High School Class of 2024 by signing up to volunteer at the Senior "GAP" All NIght Party on Friday, June 7th. We need as many volunteers as possible to make this an amazing event for our graduates. Senior parents are more than welcome to sign up to help, but we also need parents who do not have seniors. Think of volunteering at this event as paying it forward. Volunteering gives the senior parents a chance to attend graduation, and visit with family and friends who might be visiting for graduation. Then when it's you students turn to graduate, other parents will do the same for you.
When signing up, please make sure that you add an email and a phone number. I will be sending out reminders as we get closer to the event. The location will not be disclosed until a couple of hours before the event, because we want to surprise the student, but know that it is within a half an hour drive.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email Amber Bedortha at canbyamber@yahoo.com. Canby High School Class of 2024

If these are not completed by the deadlines listed on the forms, they will not be recognized at our awards ceremony. An email was sent to seniors and families on April 7 so that the students can work on the forms for the following: CTE Completer, College in Canby, and Scholarship Reporting forms.
