Dear Cirby Families,

First and foremost, I would like to extend my gratitude to our dedicated students for their hard work and commitment to learning throughout this semester. Your resilience and perseverance have not gone unnoticed, and I'm incredibly proud of each and every one of you.

Spring Break is a time for relaxation, rejuvenation, and spending quality time with loved ones. Whether you're planning a getaway or enjoying a staycation, I encourage you to take this opportunity to rest and recharge both physically and mentally. Spring Break can be a wonderful time to focus on self-care and mental well-being. Take time to engage in activities that bring you joy and relaxation. Reach out to friends, family, or support networks if you need someone to talk to.

As we prepare to return from Spring Break, I encourage everyone to come back with a refreshed mindset and a positive attitude. Let's finish the semester strong and continue to support each other in our academic pursuits.

Lastly, I want to express my sincere appreciation to our teachers, staff, and parents for their unwavering support and dedication to our school community. Your collaboration and commitment contribute greatly to the success of our students.

-Please make sure we are following all traffic suggestions at pick up and drop off.

-Please NO U-TURNS. Traffic is congested and it causes even more of a backup.

-Students are not allowed to be on campus before 7:15am to eat breakfast. If they are not eating breakfast, they may come onto campus at 7:30am.

-LOST AND FOUND is overflowing. If you are missing a jacket, hoodie, water bottle, lunch box, sweater, etc please encourage your child to look for it or feel free to come after school. We are running out of room.

Hi! I am Mrs. Vaughan. I am a kindergarten teacher and have been at Cirby for 17 years now, but have been teaching for 22 years! I hope I never graduate from Kindergarten. I live in Roseville with my family. My husband works in health care and we have 3 children. Maddie is a freshman at California Lutheran University in southern California, Kenzie is a freshman at Woodcreek High School and Marshall is a 6th grader at Silverado Middle School. I love to travel, spend time outdoors, read, and of course watch my kids play all of their sports! I am proud to be a Cirby Eagle!

Thank you to all who came to our BINGO night. It was a huge success! Stay tuned for more fun things happening in April!

Cirby School prides itself on our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports) system. We wanted to start this PBIS Corner in the newsletter so you get a better understanding about what it is, how we use it, and give you an opportunity to see how it’s working.

Cirby’s staff, students, parents, and our community work together to create a positive learning environment. Last year, we earned the highest level of recognition from Placer County, which is a Platinum PBIS school. We will be receiving recognition later this month at an awards ceremony. Check out our banners in the office when you come by. Let’s keep working hard to earn Platinum again this year!

Let’s continue to work together to remind all Cirby eagles to follow our 3 expectations: Show Respect, Make Good Decisions, and Solve Problems.

We have a new anonymous reporting system that the district is implementing called Stop It Solutions! It allows individuals to anonymously report safety, misconduct, or compliance concerns to help others or connect with trained Crisis Counselors from the Crisis Text Line™ to help themselves. You can find this app on our school website. You can log into this app to report a concern and it will notify administration so we can promptly address it.
