Wind Sync is a wind quintet based in Houston, Texas comprised of world class musicians who share the unique, delightful sounds of flute, oboe, clarinet, french horn, and bassoon. The Rockport Chamber hosted these international musicians who performed a variety of contemporary selections commissioned by composer Marc Mellits.

The ensemble played a few sections from the piece “Apollo”, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first landing on the moon. A comical, condensed version of “Peter and the Wolf” by Russian composer Peter Tchaikovsky, complete with animal character costumes, riveted the audience. The musicians' ability to play from memory fostered continuous engagement with the audience. We are so fortunate to hear these tremendous musicians!
