March Madness

While "March Madness" usually applies to college basketball, I think we can apply it to our busy month in the Wrentham Public Schools.

Kickoff to Kindergarten Parent Night

The PTO sponsored book fair will be held from Wednesday, March 4 through Friday, March 6. Students will visit the book fair with their classroom teacher during the school day, and the book fair will be open during Literacy Night on Thursday, March 5.

Please come join the WPS faculty for Literacy Night on Thursday, March 5 from 5:30-7:00. Start your journey at the Book Fair and then travel over to the Roderick Schoolfor some fun with math and reading. Be sure to pick up your “Literacy Passport”and receive a stamp after participating in each activity. Passports with 4 stamps or more may be dropped in the raffle box for a chance to win a prize.

The Art Show will take place on Thursday, March 12.

Artwork from Grades K-3 (Danielson, Horne, Jones, Shaw) will be in the Gibbons Gym from 5:00-6:30 PM.

Artwork from Grades 3-6 (Hanewich, Jeffries, Tufts) classes will be in the Roderick Cafeteria from 5:30-7:00 PM.

The Parent-Teacher Conference is a wonderful opportunity for parents and teachers to work together to discuss student academic progress and social development.


  • Report Cards will be sent home with students on Friday, March 20.
  • Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, March 25 & Thursday, March 26.
  • Students will be dismissed at 11:30 on both days.
  • Babysitting will be available through the PTO and the Girl Scouts on Thursday night.

Parent Information Night

The Kickoff to Kindergarten Parent Night will be held on Wednesday, April 1 at 6:00 PM in the Vogel Auditorium. Parents of future kindergarten students are invited to come and hear about the curriculum, tuition, etc.

Kindergarten Registration will be held on Friday, April 3 from 9:00-1:00 in the Vogel Auditorium. Please contact the Delaney Office if you have any questions.

Roderick Playground

Wrentham Community Events will be hosting the Wrentham Dancing with the Stars on Friday, March 27 at Luciano's Lake Pearl. Roderick School Principal Kevin Martes will be dancing this year to raise money to build a new Roderick School Playground.
