A DAY OF SORROW

The recent earthquake that struck Turkey-Syria has left many of us feeling saddened and heartbroken. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this terrible disaster. We extend our deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones and send healing wishes to those who were injured. As HLA Family, this tragedy hits close to home, and we stand in solidarity with our fellow citizens during this difficult time. We encourage everyone to come together and support each other as we navigate the aftermath of this devastating event. Let us honor the memory of those who lost their lives by holding them in our hearts and working together to rebuild and recover.

HLA VOLLEYBALL

We are thrilled to report on an exciting volleyball match between our eighth-grade students. The game was played with great energy and sportsmanship on both sides. Both teams demonstrated excellent skills and teamwork, making the match a tough and enjoyable competition. After an intense game, 8B emerged victorious, securing a well-deserved win. We are proud of all the students who participated and showed great enthusiasm for the sport. Congratulations to the students from section 8B for their outstanding performance, and we look forward to more exciting games in the future!

We are overjoyed to announce that, thanks to the generosity and dedication of the HLA family, we have successfully completed our fundraising campaign to provide clean drinking water to communities in Africa. We cannot express enough how grateful we are for the unwavering support we received for this important cause. Your contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of people who lack access to clean water, and we are honored to have been part of such a meaningful project. Once again, thank you to everyone who donated and helped spread the word about this campaign. Your kindness and generosity have truly made a difference in the world!

100 DAYS OF SCHOOL!

At HLA, we recently celebrated the hundredth day of school, and it was a delightful event! Our students participated in a fun dress-up day, with everyone wearing costumes to mark 100 years of life. It was incredible to see the students' creativity on display, as they came dressed as centenarians, old-timey movie stars, and even characters from the 1920s. The day was a great success, with our students learning about history in a fun and interactive way. We're proud of the effort and enthusiasm our students put into their costumes, and we're excited to see what they come up with for the next school celebration!

DODGEBALL TOURNEMENT

We are excited to announce that the Horizon Leadership Academy will be hosting an exclusive dodgeball tournament for our students, from February 2nd to March 1st. This tournament is designed to provide a fun and engaging way to promote teamwork, physical activity, and friendly competition amongst our students. It is a great opportunity for students to come together and participate in a healthy and exciting activity while showcasing their dodgeball skills. We encourage all students to participate and show their enthusiasm for this upcoming event. Let's make this tournament a success and have some fun!

BAKE SALE

We would also like to take this opportunity to express our commitment to continue supporting the earthquake relief efforts in Turkey. As such, we will be organizing future bake sales and other fundraising events to help those affected by this tragedy. We hope to see the same level of enthusiasm and support in these future endeavors and encourage everyone to continue contributing to this cause. Let us work together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted by this earthquake. Thank you once again for your support and generosity.

WORLD KINDNESS DAY!

It was a joy to see the spirit of kindness and generosity that was present at the Horizon Leadership Academy on February 14th. As we celebrated World Kindness Day, our students and teachers came together to spread love and positivity throughout our school community. Students gave gifts to each other, performed acts of kindness, and shared heartfelt words of encouragement. The teachers also joined in on the festivities, surprising our students with gifts and cards to show their appreciation and affection. We believe that small acts of kindness can have a big impact on the world, and we are proud to see our students and teachers embody this belief in their daily lives. Let us continue to cultivate a culture of kindness and generosity, not only on World Kindness Day but every day.

LAIYLAT AL-MIRAJ

We will celebrate our Laiylat Al-Miraj with our students at HLA on Thursday. After Ms. Hasmeta's speech about the Miraj, we will have a Kahoot contest. Happy Laiylat Al-Miraj and the holy three months.

HOME VISITS

At the Horizon Leadership Academy, we believe that strong relationships between our teachers, students, and parents are key to the success of our educational mission. That is why we are proud to announce that our teachers have been visiting their students and their families at their homes. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to our parents for opening their homes to our teachers and making these visits possible. These home visits provide a wonderful opportunity for our teachers to get to know their students and families better and to gain a deeper understanding of their needs, hopes, and aspirations. By working together, we can ensure that our students receive the best possible education and support. We look forward to continued collaboration and partnership with our families, as we strive to achieve excellence in all aspects of our school community.

HLA BASKETBALL


We are excited to introduce a new basketball club for your children at our after-school program. This club will be led by Coach Andre, who has over 10 years of experience training collegiate and professional players.


We believe that this club will provide a unique opportunity for your children to learn and grow as basketball players. Coach Andre's expertise and experience will help your children improve their skills and reach their full potential.

SERAH FAIR

We are excited to announce our upcoming Seerah Fair, which will take place on February 28th at our school. This event is an excellent opportunity for our students to learn more about the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and to explore the significance of his teachings in our daily lives. We invite all parents to join us in celebrating this special occasion and to witness the hard work and creativity of our students as they showcase their projects and presentations. This is an event you won't want to miss, and we hope to see you there!

NEW ENROLLMENT

The Horizon Leadership Academy is excited to announce the enrollment period for new students. From February 15th to February 28th, families are encouraged to complete the enrollment process for the upcoming academic year. The enrollment process can be completed online. We are looking forward to welcoming our new students and are committed to providing them with the best education possible.
