I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break. We missed you and we are ready to finish this year off strong.

Tomorrow, April 8th is class picture day.

Parent Advisory:

Everyone is invited to our Parent Advisory meeting on April 16th, 3:45-4:45. We will be planning for Teacher Appreciation Week.

Returning Next Year:

Parents with students in grades K-4, please take 2 minutes to let us know if your student will be returning for the 2025-2026 school year. This information helps us with placing students for the upcoming school year. CLICK HERE to fill out the form.

Dress Code Reminders for Warmer Weather:

• Tank top straps must be 1 inch wide
• Shorts must be fingertip length
• Muscle shirts must cover the torso
• Mid-drifts must be covered
• Hats are allowed outside

Reminders:

• If you drop your student(s) off in the morning, please pull all the way foward so the entrance is not blocked. Thank you for your help with this.
• This is the time of year our lost and found fills up quickly. Please label your students coats, lunch boxes, backpacks, water bottles, sweatshirts, gloves and hats. When items are labeled, we are able to get them returned to their owner.
• Once a month we will have a fire drill. This gives students and staff a chance to practice evacuating the building in case of an emergency.
• Four times a year we will have a practice lockdown. Again, this gives us a chance to practice in case of an emergency.
• Students are informed when we will be having a drill.

• Students can bring water bottles with a lid to school. We ask that all sodas, energy drinks, and coffees stay at home.

Growth and Development Film

Dear Parent or Guardian,

Nursing services is happy to invite you to attend a parent/guardian preview of the growth and development films that will be presented to all 5th and 6th grade students during April and May. These films focus on how the body develops during puberty to correct and clarify some of the rumors/inaccurate information students may be hearing. Boys and girls will watch separate films, and the 6th grade film builds on what is taught in the 5th grade.

Our school district nurses will be present during the films and will be able to answer questions you may have.

We are looking forward to partnering with you in guiding your student through puberty, and we hope you can join us!

If you would prefer your student NOT attend the growth and development class, please email the person indicated below; otherwise, we will assume you want your child to participate. The Growth and Development Film will be shown to 5th graders at West Ridge Elementary Thursday, May 15th.
