Automotive Women's Association Scholarships Deadline: January 15th, 2025

Description:
Scholarships are the root of our purpose at Automotive Women’s Alliance Foundation (AWAF). We are an active professional foundation dedicated to supporting the advancement of automotive and mobility industry professionals.
Scholarships are selected by the Scholarship Committee and awarded quarterly to the women with a quest and drive for the automotive, mobility and related industries. It is our hope that with these scholarships, we can lessen the burden on students and allow them to focus on gaining knowledge and further development toward a solid career path in this ever-evolving expansion of global mobility.
Scholarships are awarded to female with North American citizenship and a passion for a career or advancement in the automotive, mobility and its related industries. While AWAF members and family members are encouraged to apply for scholarships, we encourage applicants who are not affiliated with the organization to also apply. To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants should be already accepted to or enrolled in an accredited collegiate program, with a 3.0 or higher GPA and a citizen within North America. Ava Crofford Youth Citizenship Award Deadline: January 15th, 2025
Award Amount: $500
Description :
To be eligible, the applicant must be enrolled in the last two years of a public or private high school within the Texas counties of Travis, Williamson, Hays, Caldwell, Burnet, Blanco, Bastrop, Bell or Coryell. The applicant must not have reached the age of 21 prior to July 1 of the award year. Completed applications must be received by December 15. To qualify for the award, which is judged on the citizenship and merit of the applicant, a student must demonstrate the following:
1. Service – Applicant must have taken an active part in service in the home, school and community with a high degree of cooperation, courtesy and consideration for others.
2. Dependability – Applicant must have executed responsibilities with honesty, loyalty and reliability.
3. Leadership – Applicant must have demonstrated ability to lead with self-control, dignity and responsibility.

Michelle Obama's $10K Scholarship for High School Seniors Deadline: January 15th, 2025

Description :
The Michelle Obama Award for Memoir is open to current high school seniors who attend public school in the United States and plan to attend an accredited institution in Fall 2025. You must submit a memoir/personal essay of at most ten pages to be considered for this award. The Sierra Nevada Corporation has established a scholarship program to assist those who self-identify as female and plan to or are currently pursuing a degree and career in a non-medical, STEM-related field in college or graduate school. Application opens in December.

Description :
The contest is open to United States high school students in grades nine through twelve attending public, private, parochial, or home schools; U.S. students under the age of twenty enrolled in a high school correspondence/GED program in any of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, or the U.S. territories; and U.S. citizens attending schools overseas. Breanna Coleman Memorial Nursing Scholarship Deadline: January 24th, 2025

Description :
Breanna Coleman was one of five people lost in a car accident late in the night on June 25th, 2023.
Breanna was only 18 years old and had just graduated from Gateway High School, completed her Dual Enrollment requirements, and was set to begin the nursing program at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida, in the Fall. Bre had her whole life ahead of her, and she just wanted to use her career to help people.
This scholarship seeks to honor the life of Breanna Coleman by supporting students who share her passion for nursing and helping others.
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) Be a high school senior who will be pursuing a four-year degree in nursing.
B) Be involved in volunteer work or other extracurricular activities outside of school.

Greehey Scholars Program Deadline: January 27th, 2025

Description :
Students can apply to St. Mary’s University beginning in early August 2024. The Greehey Scholars Program will conduct a holistic review of all Program applications. Admission into the Greehey Scholars Program is competitive, with a limited number of positions in the cohort available each year.
The following are the minimum Program application requirements.

- A 2025 high school graduate
- Test-optional (without test scores) applicants are required to have a 3.8 high school GPA or higher

Fidelity Scholars Program Deadline: January 30th

Description:
The Fidelity Scholars Program combines a generous annual needs-based scholarship with robust wrap-around services that support students’ persistence to degree or certificate attainment. The program is working to identify and support approximately 2,500 talented students from Fidelity’s geographical priority areas in the United States. For year 2024-2025, the program will focus on students from Florida, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas and Washington, DC.
Eligibility Requirements:
The program is open to historically underserved and underrepresented students ages 16 to 24 who are permanent residents of Florida, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas and Washington, DC.
Students must meet all the eligibility requirements listed below:

Pell-eligible and/or demonstrate financial need
Attend as an incoming 2025-26 freshman at a four-year accredited college or university in the state that you reside

Union Plus Scholarships Program Deadline: January 31st, 2025

Description:
Since 1991, the Union Plus Scholarship Program has awarded more than $5.2 million to students of working families who want to begin or continue their post-secondary education. More than 3,600 families have benefited from our commitment to higher education.
The Union Plus Scholarship Program is offered through the Union Plus Education Foundation, supported in part by contributions from the provider of the Union Plus Credit Card. (You do not need to be a Union Plus Credit Card holder to apply for this scholarship.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Current and retired members of participating unions, their spouses and their dependent children (as defined by IRS regulations). At least one year of continuous union membership by the applicant, applicant's spouse or parent (if applicant is a dependent). ExploraVision Awards Deadline: January 31st, 2025

Description:
The ExploraVision competition for K-12 students engages the next generation in real world problem solving with a strong emphasis on STEM. ExploraVision challenges students envision and communicate new technology 10 or more years in the future through collaborative brainstorming and research of current science and technology.
ExploraVision is a science competition that goes beyond the typical student science competition and into what it takes to bring ideas to reality. A teacher will sponsor and lead his/her students as they work in groups of 2 – 4 to simulate real research and development. A teacher will guide his or her students as they pick a current technology, research it, envision what it might look like in 10 or more years, and describe the development steps, pros & cons, and obstacles. Past winners have envisioned technologies ranging from a hand-held food allergen detector to a new device to help people who have lost limbs regain movement in real time.
Eligibility Requirements:
All entrants must be United States or Canadian citizens and living within the United States, U.S. Territories or Canada and enrolled full-time in a public, private or home school
Students must be no older than 21 years of age
National Science Teachers Association employees, NSTA board members, ExploraVision judges and their respective families are not eligible to enter the competition
Any project that has won at ExploraVision’s regional and/or national levels may not be re-submitted in future years
Any project previously awarded a prize in another competition may not be submitted
Any student who was selected as a regional or national finalist in ExploraVision can only compete in subsequent years with a new team — i.e., with students who have not previously been selected as ExploraVision regional or national finalists
Students enter as a team of 2-4 students with a teacher/coach and optional mentor (no individual entries)

HACER Scholarship (McDonald's National Scholarship) Deadline: February 5th, 2024

Description:
The McDonald's HACER National Scholarship Program will offer scholarships to up to 30 outstanding Hispanic students from all over the country. Funds are aimed to help recipients finance their college tuition, and there are three tiers. Tier 1 recipients will be awarded up to $100,000. Tier 2 recipients will receive $20,000 or $10,000 and Tier 3 recipients will receive $5,000. Recipients are selected based on their academic achievement, community involvement, personal statement and financial need. To date, more than $5 million in McDonald’s HACER National Scholarships have been awarded to Hispanic students across the country.
