Volunteers Needed To Install Flags! Join The Fly A Flag Committee Today!
Volunteer to help install and pick up flags 5 times a year from the homes of Fly A Flag subscribers! Installation and pick up will take about an hour of your time (approximately 10 flags on each route) and the days/times are flexible. Installation is typically a few days before the holiday and pick up is a few days after. Flags can be stored at your house and the routes are set up by the Fly A Flag Committee Chair, Conrad Fjetland. This is an easy and flexible way to be involved and support the Johnson Band and Guard Program!
Email FlyAFlag@johnsonbands.com today to volunteer!
(Students who help an adult can count this toward their volunteer hours but an adult must be present at all installations and pick-ups.)
Subscriptions are open! Support the Johnson Band & Guard by signing up TODAY for the Fly A Flag program! For only $52 a year, we will place a 3' x 5' flag in your yard 5 times a year for patriotic holidays!

What's Next for the Concert Uniform?
Students will wear their concert uniform one last time at the 5/8/2024 Spring Concert. After that concert, parents/students should do the following no later than 5/23/2024:
Students with Tuxedos:
- All 3 pieces of this uniform should be professionally dry cleaned before returning the uniform.
- Please note: Tuxedos that are not dry cleaned will be tracked and invoiced by the band for the expense of taking the items to the dry cleaners.
- If your student is unsure what three items he/she/they have checked out to them, please email the Uniform Coordinator with a request for the item numbers. Students have been known to mix up items during UIL.
- Leave all 3 pieces in the dry cleaning bag with the receipt and ensure the Student's Name is either on the receipt OR written on the receipt.
- We will keep these 3 items together for the students returning next year. This will potentially help eliminate the need to pay for alterations to pants next year!
- Return to the uniform to the band hall as soon as possible but no later than the last day of school.
Students with Concert Dresses:
- You may wash the dresses at home.
- Wash on cold and gentle, with a fragrance/dye free soap.
- You may dry on low heat. Hang immediately after drying to minimize wrinkles.
- Create a tag with the student's full name and put it on the hanger.
- Return to the uniform to the band hall as soon as possible but no later than the last day of school.
For seniors, the uniform coordinator will prioritize the checkin of these uniforms so graduation requirements are met. The sooner the items are returned, the sooner the uniforms can be checked in.
If you have any questions, please email the uniform coordinator at uniforms@johnsonbands.com .
