Eagle Express - October 4th, 2024
Good afternoon Arrowwood Families,
This coming week we are excited to welcome our families for Parent Teacher Conferences. On both Wednesday, October 9th and Thursday, October 10th students will be dismissed at 10:45 AM. Please have your student picked up by 10:50 AM so that our staff can prepare for your arrival. Parent Teacher Conferences will be hosted from 1-5 PM on October 9th and 2-7 PM on October 10th. Teachers will be showcasing your child's current work samples, sharing their progress so far and strategies to support learning at home.
The Book Fair will also be open all next week and during Parent Teacher Conferences for students and families to shop. This is a great opportunity to help support our library and shop for the holidays. So many great titles are available to shop.

Book Fair is Coming the week of October 7th
Get ready—the Scholastic Book Fair is coming to our school! This is a great opportunity to connect
with your child over the thrill of bringing home new books to dive into again and again. Studies show that kids read more when they choose books for themselves. And fostering a love of independent reading leads to a wide variety of benefits—including academic success and improved mental health. Here’s everything you need to know about the Book Fair:
Dates: October 8 - 11 from 7:30 am till 3:30 pm, Half days until 11:30am and during Parent Teacher Conferences
Location: Arrowwood Library
Link to shop online: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/arrowwoodelementaryschool
Be sure to set up a Book Fair eWallet, the digital payment account that allows your child to shop for books at the Fair without cash. Then share your eWallet link so friends and extended family
can add funds. When you fund an eWallet, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a giving initiative called Share the Fair™. Your contributions directly support our students who need help buying books from the Fair.
Many of us still remember the rush of finding the perfect book at a Scholastic Book Fair. I hope you’ll join your child at our school’s Fair and share a reading experience they’ll remember forever.
Happy reading!
