Happy Friday!
Next Friday is a big day at Camelview. It is our PTO Fall Picnic. Families are invited to join us at their child(ren)’s lunch time on our playground for lunch. We will have several food trucks on-site. We encourage you to order from these food trucks. They are local small businesses and need to have enough sales to make it worth their time to join us at our picnics.
If you are coming for the picnic and plan on checking your student out early, please do not send your student(s) to school with a backpack on Friday. We are not able to get students back to class to get their items from the classroom.
Also on Friday is our 1st Grade Bring Your Parent to School. First grade parents are invited to spend the morning learning alongside their student. It is a fun day! If you join us, please remember that younger siblings are not allowed to join & we ask that you keep your phone silenced and away.
With both events on the same day, I have worked with the hotel behind our playground (20th St. & Highland) and received permission for families to use their parking lot. If you are attending the picnic, I encourage you to use this option since our front parking lot will likely be full.
In addition, to all veterans and current service members, thank you for the risks you took and the sacrifices you made for our freedom.
Have a fantastic, long weekend. There is no School on Monday in honor of Veterans Day.
CJ Smith
Proud Principal of Madison Camelview
Planning Ahead
On November 15 we have our Fall Picnic, Bring Your Parents to School Day for 1st Grade, and the District’s Discover Madison Tours all at the same time. Our parking lot will not be able to hold all the cars of parents participating in these events. That being said, there is plenty of parking down 21st Street and the hotel just behind our playground has given permission for parents to park in their parking lot.

¡Feliz viernes!

Fresh News from the Cafeteria!
🎈 Got a Birthday Coming Up? Purchase a Birthday Box! 🎈
Our cafeteria can provide birthday boxes at a very low cost. This reduces the impact on classroom learning time (every minute counts), reduces the likelihood of ants in classrooms and creates a fun celebration during lunch times. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tkA7cxvKb4gCb7RDTtE2mxsgSZzxXMui/view?usp=sharing
