Communicating gratitude is always important, especially during Thanksgiving. We are deeply thankful for our wonderful school community and the support you bring each day. As we approach the end of the first semester, I want to remind everyone of the important work still ahead. With approximately 24 school days left before winter break, I’d like to reemphasize the importance of attendance and ensuring that your child arrives on time every day.

Thanksgiving Luncheon Information

We are excited to welcome parents and siblings who do not attend Linder to join us for our Thanksgiving Luncheon on November 14th during your child’s scheduled lunchtime. If you have multiple children at Linder, you are welcome to join each student at their individual lunch time.

Lunch will be served in the cafeteria/gym. Please arrive early to check in before your child’s lunch period. All visitors will need to provide identification to check in at the front office. For security reasons, entry will not be allowed without proper ID.

Cost: $5 per plate
You can prepay for your meal by using the envelopes sent home and returning them to your child’s teacher. Alternatively, you may pay on the day of the event in the lunch line—please bring exact change or small bills.

• Main Options: Oven Roasted Turkey OR Lentil Chili Frito Pie
• Sides: Green Beans, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Blueberry Crisp, Whole Wheat Dinner Roll, Apples, Cranberry Sauce & Gravy

The Linder Attendance Challenge is a fun way to bring some friendly competition to all grade levels! Over the next 10 days, the grade level with the highest attendance rate will earn a sweet treat reward! So let’s make sure to come to school every day!

Join us Friday, November 15th as we take the Capital Metro bus to the Ruiz Branch Library, where we will learn how to use the app for taking the bus, have free bus passes, and apply for library ID cards.

We may have only had a couple of soccer games so far, but the team has worked hard and won both! Don’t miss our next game this Saturday, 11/16, against Rodriguez Elementary—I hear this is the match to watch! Be sure to stop by the Linder PTA concession stand for some treats (cash only) while you’re there!

Exciting News! 🤩 Our students have an incredible opportunity to be recognized citywide! In partnership with Creative Action and Cap Metro, Art on the Bus is a contest for local public elementary schools, offering a unique chance for student artwork to be displayed on our city's electric buses. Look out for the Linder Eagles bus – coming soon! 🦅🚎

3rd Base, a tuition-based after-school program that was previously offered at Linder Elementary, had to leave due to low enrollment. However, we are hoping to bring them back! If you are interested in enrolling your child, please register using the QR code or website below.

If we receive at least 15 registrations, the program will return next semester!
