Dear Coyote Community,

As we dive into the hustle and bustle of this season—wrapping up projects, planning getaways, or organizing gatherings with loved ones—it’s easy to feel the weight of our packed schedules. The many demands on our time can quickly lead to exhaustion.

This morning, I came across a post on "X" about the concept of rest that truly resonated with me. The post emphasized that simply catching up on sleep over the weekend isn’t enough to combat burnout. It introduced the idea of seven distinct types of rest, which I found both insightful and timely. I felt it was important to share this with you as a gentle reminder to prioritize self-care.

In fact, I embraced the idea of creative rest myself by taking advantage of today's beautiful weather to explore the National Mall with my dogs—a refreshing and restorative experience.

I’ve included the visual from the post below for you to explore.I encourage you to reflect on the types of rest that might best support your well-being and to make time for them in your busy sc hedule.

This week, our choral and instrumental music students captivated audiences with their beautiful performances. Congratulations to Mr. Tilkens, Mr. Orifici, and all our talented students for delivering such outstanding and inspiring shows!

On Friday, our entire school community came together to kick off December Spirit Days and celebrate our Winter Sports season. The event featured energetic performances by our Rock Club students, majorettes, poms, and cheer teams. Students also participated in exciting games, competing for prizes and, of course, bragging rights! A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Parks, Ms. Henwood, Mr. Mulcahy, our SGA, and all the students who helped make Friday such a fun and memorable event

Despite last week's chilly weather, our art teachers and students braved the cold to enjoy a wonderful day at Glenstone. The visit offered a perfect blend of learning and artistic inspiration, making it a truly enriching experience for all.
