Gotta’ Catch ‘Em All!
On April 30, the East Windsor Education Association hosted their Sixth Annual STEM Night. The theme this year was “Gotta’ Catch Em’ All - Pokemon!” Over 400 families enjoyed pizza, salad and snacks for dinner and participated in four different stations.
At the STEM station students were tasked with designing and creating their own Pokemon using a variety of materials and building techniques. Students added pincers, movable joints and flexible coils to make their Pokemon unique. In math, students counted and added Pokemon and used symmetry to complete pictures of their favorite pocket monsters! At the coding station they helped a Pokemon Trainer find his way to catch escaped Pokemon and in the Family Game center students and their families enjoyed playing “Snakes and Ladders” with their favorite snake-shaped Pokemon.
Thank you to all of the families that attended and all of the East Windsor educators that volunteered their time to help. We already can’t wait for next year!
