Principal's Note:
Dear Spartans
Most of us are probably looking forward to the short week next week, with classes on Monday & Tuesday only. There will not be a newsletter next week. It is encouraged that Spartans unplug and disconnect for a few days. We hope that everyone is able to enjoy some time with family & friends during the break. When we return from break, there will be three weeks left in MP2 / Semester1.
CSA's are scheduled for December 19th & 20th. More to come soon.
Skilled Trades Fair
In recognition of National Apprenticeship Week, we hosted a Skilled Trades Career Fair during all three lunches yesterday. On hand were representatives from Trade Schools, Apprenticeships & other postsecondary opportunities to discuss the benefits & requirements of various careers in the trades. Students hand the opportunity to stop by and network, ask questions and leave with next steps towards a promising career in the skilled trades. The Livonia & Westland Chamber of Commerce was also present. Thank you to all who participated.
DECA Day
Today, The Stevenson Chapter of DECA hosted their 2nd annual DECA DAy. DECA is a vocational student organization that "prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high school and colleges around the world." Attendees had the opportunity to hear from three distinguished alumni share their journey with our DECA members. Other guests invited included the LPS Board and Cabinet members, members of the Livonia Chamber of Commerce and the Mayor.
All the best-
Pete Mazzoni

Our event is on November 25th, from 5-8 p.m. in the Competition Gym. We will have snacks/beverages available. Hey Spartans!
Get ready to make a difference! Starting Monday, December 2nd, we’re kicking off our 25 Days of Giving with the Stop the Music Event! 🎶
Here’s how it works: during each passing period, we’ll play the same song over and over until we hit our goal of raising $500 for Forgotten Harvest—a local non-profit that rescues and redistributes food to charities across Metro Detroit. Want to stop the music? Donate! At the end of each hallway, someone will be holding a can for donations. Don’t forget to bring cash, or you’ll be hearing the same tune all week!
Food Drive Event 🥫🍞
As part of our 25 Days of Giving, the Stevenson Student Senate is hosting a Food Drive from December 2nd to December 13th to help our neighbors at His Church Anglican right next door!
We’re collecting canned and boxed food items. The 3rd-hour class that donates the most will win a prize! Let’s show our Spartan spirit and generosity during this holiday season. Every donation makes a difference, and we’re so grateful for your support!
Together, we can make this a holiday season to remember! Let’s do this, Spartans! 💙🎁

Cross Country Team Michigan
Congratulations to Kaelin Hughes and the Team Michigan for their incredible performance this past weekend at the Mid-East Championship cross country meet in Kettering, Ohio!
The team of twelve talented girls from across Michigan made history by setting a meet record for the perfect score, an achievement that can never be beaten—only tied. Team Michigan dominated the competition, with the first seven girls crossing the finish line.
This remarkable accomplishment showcases the skill, determination, and teamwork of these young athletes. Well done, Kaelin, and all of Team Michigan! Kaelin and Joey Rohmfeld from Churchill were the only 2 LPS students to compete at this level. Congratulations!!!
