Maria Montessori Academy

The mission of Maria Montessori Academy is to provide an individualized education that promotes academic excellence founded on the authentic philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.

Maria Montessori Academy will craft each child’s education in partnership with educators and parents to achieve higher levels of academic, personal and social achievement, thereby preparing students to become constructive contributors to their community.

This week we had safety assemblies for all students presented by the North Ogden Police department. Please ask your student what they learned and how they can contribute to a safe school environment for us all!

We are incredibly proud of our girls’ soccer team for their dedication and passion this season! We are grateful for the commitment of our coaches, Mr. Dave, Mr. Giuseppe, and Ms. Oakley for their support!

Red Ribbon week is October 28-October 31! We’ve got a lot of great activities planned and there are still a few spots available if you’d like to include your vehicle in the annual Trunk or Treat! Our junior high students have worked collaboratively and creatively to create an incredible experience for the Haunted House and thank you to those of you who have donated supplies for this event! We’ll also have some awesome raffle items like ski passes to Nordic Valley, golf passes, and more! Buy your tickets early for this event to avoid the lines!

The costume parade will take place on Thursday October 31st at 9am. Families are welcome to attend! We will bring all students outside the school building and through the parking lot for the parade. Costumes should NOT include fake weapons, masks, full face paint, anything bloody or scary. Students will be asked to change out of their costumes after the parade.

There is NO school on November 1st for students. Staff members will participate in training from Stand4Kind.

We’re at 90% attendance so far this year! Thank you for helping your students make school a priority and getting them here on time each day. It makes a difference in student relationships, confidence, and academic growth!

We are so happy to share with you that we are doing original works again this year. For those of you who do not know what this is, the students make artwork and we send it to a company that will put it on all sorts of things you can purchase. These things include magnets, cards, bags, cups, ornaments, towels, pillow cases, to name a few. These can be used as holiday gifts for children's grandparents and other loved ones. The proceeds from this go to your child's classroom to be used for their class. This is a wonderful way to help get money for the classroom and things teachers and students may need. In the past some teachers have used the money for art supplies, field trips, more materials, and even a class pets.
You will be able to order these things online. Please watch for the order form. The online ordering deadline will be Monday, November 11. Any orders made after this will be processed separately and may not be delivered before the holidays.

Some children may also bring home a physical copy of the order form and their artwork. This is because they needed a bit more time to finish their artwork. If your child brings home a paper order form, please have it and the artwork returned to the school no later than November 4. There are no exceptions for this date.

We are experiencing some difficulty with receiving payments without the order forms being completed. Please read the following carefully:

1. You must submit the Google Order Form to have your student on the list for pizza. Once you have submitted the form you should automatically receive a copy of your order form to your email as confirmation.

2. Square payments are not creating the order, they are a separate process.

3. Square payments must contain the student name so we can verify who the payment is for

The payment link will now be sent out via email only AFTER we have received your Google Order Form for pizza and put you on the pizza order list. Please allow time to complete this process…it may take us several days to process everyone's orders. Payments links for November pizza orders will be emailed between October 26th-October 29th. FTA needs to receive payment by November 3rd so they can get orders prepared for November 8th.

The exciting night of Trick or Treat and Haunted House are next Wednesday. The Jr. High students have been busy working on the planning and development of the Haunted House. This event is a fundraiser for the 6th and 9th grade spring out of state field trips. It has become a tradition and something the elementary students look forward to being a part of when they are in Junior High.

We are so grateful for people who have donated items for the costume contest, car contest, prizes and raffles.

Please look at the flyer to see all of the goodies and times of each event. Prepay by Tuesday, to beat the long lines.
