Happy Sunday, Chameleon Families!
We had another great week at Carpenter! We had our second and final 1st Quarter Pep Rally, and awarded the first Chameleon's Tail to Track 4 winners- Ms. Lunsford's Kindergarten class and Ms. Perota's 5th grade class. They were definitely excited classes! Remember- every Friday is green and yellow- Carpenter spirit day! Today starts the month-long celebration of Hispanic Heritage. Classes are making posters of different countries, learning daily facts, saying the Carpenter Pledge in Spanish, and having a Spirit Week. See below for details on Spirit Week- September 23-27.
Don't forget Picture Day for Tracks 3 and 4 is this Wednesday.

Carpenter Elementary is participating in the annual National PTA Reflections Art Competition! The artistic theme to respond to this year is Accepting Imperfection, and entries are due by October 15.
Students can submit an entry in one of six artistic categories: visual arts (paintings, drawings, etc), music composition (an original song), photography, film production (video), literature (short stories, poetry, comics, essays), or dance choreography (captured on video). Students must include a title and an artist's statement with their work explaining how their artwork connects with this year's theme.
