Family Update - 05/17/23

Dear Scott DL Families,

There is excitement in the air as we move quickly to the end of the school year! The students have been working hard to achieve their goals and to celebrate their success.

Please read on for the following important invitations, events, and reminders!

Just a reminder that the Children’s Discovery Center will bring their Mobile Museum to our blacktop TODAY at no cost! Please note that this is a family event and no childcare will be provided. See you there!

On Thursday and Friday, students at Scott will be celebrating their success from last year's state assessments! We are so grateful to our anonymous donor, who is providing bouncy houses for the students to celebrate their outstanding achievements!

As we will have several large inflatables set up in the gym. Please send your child to school with socks, as shoes and bare feet are not allowed on the equipment. Let's go Scott DL Panthers!!!

We are gearing up for a fun Water Day on Friday! Please review the information below!

Parents, please complete this Survey by May 20. It should take less than 10 minutes to complete. The survey may be completed in English or Spanish (see the Language option button in the top right of the screen).

Dear families,

For the 5th grade promotion, we are asking parents/families to submit 3-4 photos of their students, from baby photos to toddler photos.

You can send a hard copy of the photo to school with your student or send the photo in an email to your student's teachers:

• PreK: Dismissal is at 3:30 p.m.

• K-5: Dismissal is at 3:40 p.m.

• Don't forget to check your student’s backpack daily!

• If you know that your child is going to be absent, please call the school at 785-235-7480.

• If you need to pick your child up early, please be advised that we will call them down to the office once you arrive at the school.

• If you need to change the way your child goes home, please call the office by 1:00 for us to have time to communicate those
