A Note From Our Leader!
Dear Bellingrath Families, Staff, and Community Stakeholders,
As we near the end of the first semester, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to each of you for a wonderful start to this school year. Our students, staff, and families have shown incredible resilience and dedication, and it is truly a privilege to be part of this community. Thank you for your continued support and for helping to make Bellingrath a thriving environment for learning.
I would like to update you on a few important matters as we move forward into the next half of the semester:
Roof Repair Project: We are currently in the process of addressing some necessary repairs to our school’s roof. While this is a vital improvement, it may cause some temporary disruptions. Please rest assured that we are doing everything we can to minimize any impact on student learning and safety. We will keep you informed of any major changes to the schedule.
Virtual Learning Days: As you know, weather-related closures have forced us to implement virtual learning days this semester. We ask that you kindly remind your children to complete their assignments and submit them on time. These days provide valuable learning opportunities, and it is essential that our students remain engaged and stay on track with their studies.
State Testing Approaches: We are rapidly approaching state testing season. These assessments are important, as they allow us to showcase the incredible growth and knowledge our students have achieved. We ask for your continued support in ensuring that students attend school regularly and arrive on time, as consistency is key to their success. We know that with your help, we can ensure our students demonstrate their full potential.
As always, we are committed to providing an excellent education and creating a supportive environment where all students can succeed. Thank you again for your partnership in this journey. Together, we will continue to make Bellingrath Middle School a place where students thrive.
Warm regards,
Dr. Mary Holloway

Celebrating Teacher Engagement: Data Meetings at Bellingrath Middle School
At Bellingrath Middle School, we believe in the power of data to drive student success. This semester, our dedicated team of teachers has been actively participating in Data Meetings to review student progress, identify areas of growth, and refine instructional strategies. These meetings are an integral part of our commitment to continuous improvement and ensuring that every student reaches their full potential.
Our teachers have worked tirelessly to analyze student performance data, discuss trends, and collaborate on effective strategies to support student learning. This ongoing process allows us to stay focused on what works, celebrate our successes, and make adjustments when needed.
To show our appreciation for their commitment to excellence, we are rewarding our teachers for their active participation in these Data Meetings. Whether it's through small tokens of appreciation, recognition in staff meetings, or other incentives, we want our teachers to know that their hard work does not go unnoticed. Their dedication to understanding and utilizing data directly impacts the academic growth of our students, and we are proud of the effort they put into ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
We are grateful for our incredible educators and the passion they bring to the classroom every day. Their collaboration during Data Meetings exemplifies the collective spirit of Bellingrath Middle School, and we look forward to seeing the continued positive impact this effort will have on our students.

ACAP Prep Supporting Our Scholars: The AMSTI Parent Success Guide
As parents and guardians, one of the most impactful roles we play in our children's education is providing support in their learning journey, especially in subjects like math. The AMSTI (Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative) Parent Success Guide is a valuable resource designed to help us foster our scholars' mathematical skills without overwhelming them.
What is the AMSTI Parent Success Guide?
The AMSTI Parent Success Guide offers practical tools, strategies, and resources aimed at enhancing our understanding of math concepts that our children are learning in school. It emphasizes collaborative learning, encouraging us to engage with our children in meaningful ways that promote confidence and curiosity in mathematics.
How Can Parents Use the Guide?
Understanding the Curriculum: The guide breaks down key math concepts by grade level, making it easier for us to understand what our children are learning and how we can reinforce these ideas at home.
Practical Activities: It includes hands-on activities and games that we can do together, turning learning into a fun and interactive experience. These activities are designed to help our children apply mathematical concepts in real-world scenarios.
Tips for Encouragement: The guide provides tips on how to create a positive learning environment, encouraging our children to explore and ask questions without fear of making mistakes.
Resources for Further Learning: It also points us to additional resources, such as websites and community programs, where we can find more support and information.
The Importance of Parental Involvement
Research shows that when parents are involved in their children's education, students tend to perform better academically. By utilizing the AMSTI Parent Success Guide, we not only help our children succeed in math but also strengthen our own understanding and confidence in the subject.
Let’s approach math together with enthusiasm and support, making learning a positive experience for our scholars. Remember, it’s not about perfection; it’s about fostering a love for learning and helping our children build a strong foundation in mathematics.
