From the Principal
Dear Fairmont Jr. High Parents and Guardians,
As we enter the final quarter of the school year, we encourage our students to stay focused, engaged, and finish strong. This is a crucial time for academic progress, preparation for next year, and celebrating achievements. Additionally, third-quarter grades are now available on Infinite Campus. Please take a moment to review your child’s progress and reach out to teachers with any questions.
Please continue to support your child by monitoring assignments, encouraging good study habits, and staying connected with teachers. Important events, including testing, end-of-year activities, and celebrations, are coming up—stay tuned for details!
Thank you for your partnership in making this year a success. Let’s make this last quarter a great one!

TESTING DATES April 15, 16, 22, and 23
As we approach ISAT and PSAT testing, I'd like to emphasize the importance of these assessments. These tests help measure student progress, guide instruction, and, in the case of the PSAT, prepare students for future college readiness exams. Encouraging your child to do their best ensures they demonstrate their knowledge and skills effectively.
Here are some key reminders to help students succeed:
✅ Get plenty of rest the night before the test.
✅ Eat a healthy breakfast for energy and focus.
✅ Arrive on time to start the day stress-free.
✅ Read all directions carefully and take time to check answers.
✅ Stay positive and confident—a great attitude goes a long way!
Thank you for supporting your child’s success. Let’s work together to help them shine on the ISAT and PSAT!

ATTENDANCE
ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
- Regular attendance is key to academic success—missing more than 10% of school days (5+ days per quarter) is considered chronic absenteeism and negatively impacts performance.
- Boise School District Policy #3121: Students must attend at least 90% of school days per semester to avoid losing credit or promotion.
LEAVING CAMPUS
- Fairmont is a closed campus. Students need a Permit to Leave (PTL) for any departure during school hours. Obtain a PTL with a parent note or call (208-854-4790 ext. 1) at least 1 hour in advance. Leaving without a PTL results in truancy and possible detention.

If you haven’t already done so, download the Infinite Campus App for real-time access to attendance, grades, schedules and more. See the link for instructions. Infinite Campus App
