Springing into Renewal
As we bid farewell to winter and welcome the beginning of spring, we can't help but feel a sense of renewal in the air. Just as the Tigers gear up for their opening day, our school community is embracing this season as an opportunity for growth and new beginnings.
As we embark on the final stretch of the school year, let's carry forward this spirit of optimism and enthusiasm. Let's celebrate the successes, big and small, and continue to support one another every step of the way.
So, here's to the joys of spring, the crack of the bat, and the possibilities that lie ahead.

Spring Testing - VERY IMPORTANT
As we gear up for spring testing, it's important to understand why these tests matter. They help us see how well students are doing and where they might need extra help. By looking at the results, we can adjust our teaching to make sure every student gets the support they need to succeed. The test results are also a reflection of our school community, and we want to to be able to highlight the bright students that we have here in Fowlerville. Please take a moment to read THIS DOCUMENT, which outlines the specific dates and times for the mandatory state assessments.
Assessments will be online this year, so 9th, 10th and 11th graders will need charged Chromebooks on their testing day. Testing will occur in the competition gym. Students should eat a good breakfast and be on time! No cell phones or smart watches are allowed in the testing room.

Solar Eclipse
This Monday, April 8, we'll have a special treat—the solar eclipse! It's a rare chance for our students to witness a stunning event in the sky at approximately 3:10 pm. Our science classrooms are teaching and talking about this rare event that will happening partially in Michigan.
While we're thrilled, safety is our priority. Looking directly at the sun, especially during dismissal, can harm eyes. We'll ensure supervision at dismissal, but please remind your child not to stare at the sun without proper protection.
Let's make this eclipse memorable and safe for everyone!

Decision Day 2024
Exciting news ahead! On May 3rd, we'll be hosting our first ever Decision Day event to celebrate the incredible achievements and future plans of our 2024 graduates.
Leading up to this momentous occasion, our seniors have completed a survey sharing their post-high school plans. Whether they're heading to college, pursuing skilled trades, joining the military, or entering the workforce, every senior will be represented in our celebration.
During our all-school assembly, our senior class will parade around the gym behind banners representing their chosen paths. It's a powerful visual representation of their hard work and determination.
We're thrilled to announce that a former UFC fighter renowned for overcoming obstacles in his own life, will be joining us to share his inspiring story. His presence promises to add an extra layer of motivation and encouragement for our graduating seniors.
This Decision Day marks the beginning of an unforgettable month for our seniors. At this time, the event will only be available to our students and staff, but look for many pictures and videos to be shared on social media and future newsletters!
Youth Employment Fair
Gladiators in Costa Rica
During Spring Break, Mr. Gordon Andersen and Ms. Jade Huffman took a group of 15 Spanish students for an immersive trip throughout Costa Rica. They had a very busy trip Hiking, kayaking in Lake Arsenal, scrimmaging a local soccer team, learning to make local foods, crocodile river cruise, thermal hot springs and also visited local farms.
Mr. Andersen was happy to report that "Throughout the trip I was consistently impressed with the enthusiasm, respect, comradery, kindness, sharing, and flexibility our travelers showed on tour in Costa Rica. We sampled new foods, engaged in new activities, practiced our Spanish, got along well with each other, formed new friendships and made lifelong memories.
What is most commendable was the cheerful demeanor our group held throughout the entire trip. Whether it was hiking in 90 degree weather and high humidity, being stuck in traffic for 45 minutes after a long day, or stranded in the airport for two hours, our students smiled and laughed their way through, which made it all worthwhile. In short, they were all great travel companions."
