THE STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS ITS PACK
Wasco Weekly
October 4, 2024
Wasco Families,
Much work goes into creating a building master schedule because it coordinates the events for students, specials teachers, lunch staff, student services, and classroom units. This year presented new challenges, more staff shared between buildings and the new start time, and our team did our best to create our first schedule.
After implementing the schedule, we discovered improvements. We determined the impact of those improvements and their implication: more instructional time for students, was too big to ignore. We formed a committee, and revised the schedule, which will start on Monday the 7th. The change is new lunchtimes for some grade levels. An example is: In one grade level students were doing math and then went to lunch. Now they have lunch and then do math afterwards.
For parents, I don’t think you will notice a change. All elements are the same: core subjects, same number of specials. In a couple instances the day of the special changes.
If there are any relevant specific changes Your classroom teacher will share them with you. If you’d like any more information, please contact me.
Kind Regards,
Mrs. Stephanie Brennan
