Things to Bring to Open House
We're excited to host our first open house and "Hisle Hunt". Your family will meet the teacher, tour the campus, find the area for your child's dismissal, and learn about Hisle PTO.
A few items to bring
- School supplies (if purchased through Hisle, they will be in your classroom)
- State-issued Identification to scan
- Funds to set up lunch account
- A pen or pencil to write things down!
FIRST DAY HOW-TO!
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: WALKING YOUR CHILD TO CLASS
The first day of school is an opportunity to practice patience and kindness. Getting 500 students in the building with families is going to take time. There will be no tardies for the first few days of school so please practice getting routines going to help with when the 7:30am start is a hard deadline! :). We know that the first day of school that families often like to walk their child to class. Capturing those moments are important so we've made sure there are photo opportunities at Open House!
- On the morning of the first day ONLY, families may opt to park in the visitor parking lot (BLUE LOT)
- All adults MUST come in through the FRONT door!

School Dismissal Manager
We're excited to use an online system to track how each child leaves the campus. You should have eceived an email to set up your account IF you have a kindergarten-fifth grade student. PREK students should receive an email by Monday evening!
The email will contain
- Instructions on how to login with a user name and temporary password.
- You will read through the dismissal areas to choose your child's dismissal each day.
- Remember, if you drive a car to pick up your child, please choose the appropriate car lane.
- We will have a "booth" to pick up a RED or GREEN Card to display in your window the first day of school.

To help with speed of the car lane, we need your help!
Please pick up a piece of red or green cardstock at Open House in the cafeteria.
On the cardstock, please write the following in BIG BOLD LETTERS!
- FAST LANE Number
- Student's name
- Grade
- Teacher name.
