Are you ready to make a difference at Walker Elementary? The PTA will have several board positions open next year, and we’re looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to get more involved, influence school activities, and contribute to our community's success.

We have a variety of roles to fit different interests and levels of commitment:

• President: Leads meetings, coordinates projects, oversees legal and financial obligations, and works with the board to achieve goals.
• Secretary: Handles membership records, takes meeting minutes, and ensures effective communication with board members and administration.
• Treasurer: Manages the budget, handles deposits and payments, and presents financial updates at meetings.

The executive board (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) positions are two-year terms. While paid Walker Elementary employees cannot hold these roles, substitutes and committee positions are open to all.

Other exciting committee roles include:

• Fundraising Committee: Help organize events like the Fall Carnival, Silent Auction, and Color Run.
• Spirit Night Coordinator: Schedule and promote monthly spirit nights and skate nights, sharing event details with the school community.

Do you have a child who will be 3 before August 1st? We have two Springdale Pre-K classes at Walker Elementary. Here is the Registration Information for 2025-2026 school year! If your child is interested in joining the Southwest Cheer and Dance team, they can pick up a form in the office.

Parents and guardians can access the Family Portal in one of three ways:

1. Visit the Students and Families page on the ATLAS portal at https://atlasportal.org and enter a unique Access Code along with their child’s date of birth and first name as it appears in TIDE.
2. Accessing the Family Portal login page directly at https://ar-familyportal.cambiumast.com/.
3. Through an email sent directly to families via TIDE. These emails will contain a time-limited link that enables families to retrieve their child’s unique Access Code. This code can then be entered at either link listed above.

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for parents to easily access the Family Portal and view their child's academic scores from the ATLAS assessment that all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students were assessed on in the Spring of 2024. By following the outlined process, parents can efficiently retrieve important educational information, including performance reports and detailed achievement descriptors. Understanding their child's performance can help parents support their learning journey more effectively. This resource is essential for staying informed and engaged in their child's education.
